Oh, and let me repeat; I´m not mad at you at all (like your friend haltd ;) ) - I just wanted to let you know. :)

(see what I mean about the doubleposting?) :)

It wasn't even about that, Paradroid. He was being a bully because of something else. He didn't care about how I was posting stuff; he just wanted to pick with me about anything so he'd feel manly about himself. JuggaLotus & I worked things out because he went back & read Halltd's posts on another thread. I know what I'm doing. ;-)

i dont know about it being "super supported." it looks fine to me.

if the ride is done by december as some people are saying. they still cant test it in ice and snow, can they? to me when i think about it, ice cant be good for a roller coaster to run on.

Why? The original coasters ran on ice.

Yeah, the Tobaggan Run....Is that how you spell that?

When Cedar Point wasn't yet an amusement park, they had one 'roller coaster' that went into Lake Erie. Coasters derived from water!

Well, yes and no (since ice is water). The original coasters were in Russia. They were iced down toboggan runs that evolved into both bobsled and coasters. People had so much fun on them in winter they eventually wanted to ride when it wasn't cold out.

that is a really good point. i think you just solved the mystery of p07. good job. no really that was a good one, propd to you.

Those damned Russians! They just love to be cold. Screw that; I would've liked the one going into Lake Erie better. But that water is cold, too.

Now for my 2 cents... The first thing I thought of when I saw the supports is that it is to allow for the track to go underneath this hill at some other point in the ride. And just because there isn't any cement footers there now, doens't mean they can't pour one in about a day's time!

It just looks like they are building it in a way that is not giving away to much this early.

Wow, is it me or are some of those supports that are laying on the ground in front of the new building look more beefy than the ones already put up?

The first link is of the newly assembled bunny hop. Look at the bottom of the supports where the two mount onto one V type support. Look at the second link. Looks pretty similar eh? I'm guessing we'll see another bunny hop or something close over there.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Aren't those the same ones?

2003 - Wicked Twister
2004 - Wicked Twister/Top Thrill Dragster

^ That's what I was thinking

They dont just look similar.....those are the same ones.

That bunny hill is insanely steep

^I agree... looking at it in person on Tuesday made me think that if there's any decent amount of speed, this ride would require OTSRs... unless there's something else about the ride/train we're not aware of. Right now I'm just assuming a standard train...

It looks pretty steep from certain angles, but if you're looking at from the side, it looks to be around 40 degrees. I wouldn't call that very steep.

i agree that its not steep. but is it steeper than maggies?

I guess "steep" isn't the correct word... it's the transition from one side to the other that seems sharp... high positive g's, etc (especially if it's going to have good speed to maintain speed around all those bends)
