Reminds me of the third hill on S:ROS at SFA. Great airtime/ejector hill.
I beleive that you will travel over the hill, through the S curve that is there and into the break run leading to the station.

Does anybody think this ride will have a big drop hill?
That depends on what you consider a "big drop hill"... compared to the height of the turns that are already there, the hill that's there is already "big".

I hope it doesn't have a break run. That just wouldn't be right. I'm pretty sure it would have a brake run, though.

No. There will not be any "big" drops as you have clearly defined. This is shaping up to be a fun one! If you want big drops, take a look around you! You've got lots to choose from.
Go right through for MSU!
Again, that's all subjective. What do you consider 'big'?
A lift hill that's at a very slight angle that stretches from Mean Streak up to Demon Drop, but only reaches a height of 30 feet, could be considered 'big'... 'huge' even.
A lift hill that's 80 feet, might be 'big' for some people who are afraid of heights.
You can't just say "big"

and ive been on all of em, but i just hope this ride has some height to it, ya know...at least as high as MS

I wonder if Maverick will look terifying from a distance, if it's smaller than Mean Streak. Are you ready for an amazing 60ft drop, come and witness the awesome fury of Maverick. ;)

Doug, at first glance I thought you took this one with a fisheye: http://www.pointpixels.com/4images/details.php?image_id=7982
But, nope, it's just a hole in the wall. That would be pretty good barrel distortion for a fisheye! A fisheye lens would be fun, but they cost too much.

If you really want M's in there, then just look at the track. You can spell out "INTAMIN" !!! Ooooohhh!!!! (Cue the X-Files theme) ;)I doubt the "M" support was anything other than a coincidence. Some of you are just looking for conspiracy theories.
I agree. Who all is on drugs in these threads? Some of the stuff sounds like it can come from the 60's with peace, love & a little 'marijane'!

As your sarcasm implies, I think many on this site have long held to the belief that this coaster will be slightly less on the "scare the pee pee out of you" side and more on the "wow this likes so much fun I have to pee" side. Especially since it is replacing WWL.
I dont think anything about this ride (except to those scared of coasters, of course) is designed to look terrifying.
Again, we're messing around with subjectivity here, as terrifying means completely different things to different people. When I was 13, I was terrified of Magnum.

Hi guys what do you think this picture below is about .there are 3 sticks by each other .i see this to be weird. http://www.pointpixels.com/4images/details.php?image_id=7980"D.6 Link" is what is written on two of them.
Maybe the 'D' is the first initial of what the new coaster is really called!!! Maybe 'Maverick' is going to be a new kiddie ride! Can't you see a little kiddie ride named Maverick that the little kids can go on with their little cowboy hats & big-buckled belts?!?!
(I should get some sleep)

That would be a great shot to take with a fisheye, great composition though as is with the framing. Also, fisheye lenses aren't THAT expensive, if you're a photographer using the professional equipment, fisheyes are on the low end (around $200) whereas some other lenses (most) are around $750-$5,000. I hope I get a fisheye before I get out to Cedar Point for my first trip, it's my favorite lens yet I don't own one. :)
As to the rest of the update, nice shots as usual and I'm amazed at how these updates keep popping up. It'll be nice to look back and have an almost day by day account of the work that's being done. Thanks to everyone who is putting in their time, effort, and money into showing us all what's going on at the construction zone. The more and more I see of the site, the more and more I think that it'll wander elsewhere as well. I'm still confused as to where things will be; launch/lift, station, general layout, etc, the footers and supports are too confusing. :)

I do think that some people in here are on some serious drugs with the stuff they come up with. It's nice to live in their world sometimes! :-)

Hey, did anyone notice that there are footers going under the track near the hill? The reason I mention it is because it's pretty close to the other supports.
(Of course you've noticed. It's just an observation that I just had!)
"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"
Ya, I noticed that as well, then noticed the support on the footer directly in line with it, so my guess is just another overbanked turn and that another support will be put on the support currently there and it will also attatch to the footer underneath the hill. That's just my guess. Either that, or they screwed up.
