I'd bet this thing will fall right in line with the length of Raptor & Mantis (3790' & 3900', respectively).

^^ No.
^ I was thinking that. Both are relatively decent length coasters. However the ride times are perfect. If you add a launch instead of lift, you seriously cut out ride time, which means you hurt capacity. I think we'll see an extra 1000 on top that and we'll see something in the neighborhood of 47-5000 feet.

Something is probably wrong with it, they'll have the camera back up tomorrow. If this coaster is a launcher like everyone is predicting, I can see it being longer then both Raptor, and Mantis just by a little bit. My guess, 4400'.
That would be amazing, considering this thing is apparently going to be similar to Stormrunner, which is a mere 2600', and was received well by our own Jeff Putz in his TR of Hersheypark:
While short, this is still the best use of Intamin's hydraulic launch that I've seen, and I think it beats the pants out of Dragster. I absolutely loved it! Absolutely great fun from start to finish. This is really one of my favorite steel coasters, certainly among the top ten if I actually ranked them.

I just don't see this being a short coaster. Compact yes, but not short by any means.

same here. i have nothing against short rides as long as it is fun. but if it is short and lame ill be upset. but then again cedar point tends to not be so lame. i bet this ride's length will fall right in the middle.
Don't get me wrong, I wasn't comparing it to SR in terms of length, but in terms of launch, elements and so forth. The awesomeness comes from the fact that SR appears to be a fun ride, while Maverick will be all that "and a bag of chips", due to its length.
