Update: Aerial Photos

I did enjoy the pictures,good job Walt.Adam you didn't have to mention the 24 day's because we can't make the trip till june.Dang I'm even starting to miss dragster.But millie and maggie will still be the first I hit.

Well even if you miss opening day, pictures of the site will be up by the end of the day or on Sunday.

Just an interesting thought, I recall hearing that Disney had asked the FAA to order a no-fly zone over their parks after 9/11 for security purposes. I don't recall whatever happened to that.

The other thought I had is I wonder how often Google Earth updates their satellite imagery. I know you can zoom pretty darn close in certain areas of the country. I could make out which of my cars was in my driveway. I would assume the site would be visible but you may not be able to make out footers.

In any event, if they do what I want and they build a new superflume maybe it will be too hard to hide a mountain ala Everest at Animal Kingdom. It was pretty obvious what was happening there no matter the "pardon our dust" wall.

Chief... I believe the Disney thing is a restricted area. I also believe it was designated as such because of the fireworks/laser show every night. I've never flown down there (other than on southwest), but I can imagine most of Orlando looks like downtown Baghdad every evening

I have discovered the horrible secret of Walt's photos and why he isn't showing any pictures of the WWL site!

He wasn't REALLY flying over Cedar Point. He was just taking pictures of a model and thus doesn't know what the WWL site looks like.

Good try there, but I've known that Photoshop trick since it popped up in an RCPro Photoshop contest entry almost a year ago. :)

What do you supose the trucks are doing in the photo near raptor and the game day grill.

I would pay top dollar to see someone build a scale model of the entire park and surrounding resorts and parking lot during the pre-season prep.
