Sure, there is no law that says he can't post pictures taken from a plane, however, they can always tell him to stay off their property in the future.
I believe they're talking about the blurred spot at the lower right hand corner next to Mean Streak...

It appears as though the blue crane near skyhawk is trapped. Is this so?

Not being privy to off-season tours maybe, but they would have no legal right to prevent anyone who takes pictures from a plane from coming to the park, since no rules were broken.

But Cedar Point asked Walt not to take photos the WWL site, and the least he can do is listen to them.
Anyone with a private pilot's license and $60-$80 per hour for a plane rental including fuel can fly over Cedar Point. Very few people actually do go over Cedar Point, and even fewer of those actually post them on the internet. The photos on this site are by someone that respects what Cedar Point asks of him.
Honestly, what is a few pieces of cement worth anyways? Cedar Point just wants to have a suprise to give away. It is there money spent after all.
It's their property. If they ask you to leave and/or not enter, you must abide or they can call Law Enforcement to escort you away.
Whether I have the legal right to post them isn't the point. Cedar Point obviously has a specific plan in place for the announcement and marketing of Project 2007 and I have no desire to derail that in any way.
It's no secret that a lot of work has been done on the former White Water Landing site. Aerial photos wouldn't give it away, but it's a safe bet to say they would show more than the park is ready to reveal. I'm here to work with the park, not against them. This isn't Dateline NBC or 20/20. :)
That said, there will be a lot to see, even from the ground, come May 6.
Thanks for the pics Walt!
I love looking at the park from new perspectives like this. I like how Gemini's station really stands out...that it hard to notice from ground level. Also, Magnum looks great...hard to beleive its as old as it is.
And thanks for wetting the appetite about the WWL site ;) Theres no secret; we all know there is work being done, and probably more footers, but know one would know anymore than they do right now.
I wonder if there is a website of aerial shots of amusement parks.
Yes, we would know more, but probably only the partial layout of the ride. That would still leave the biggest mystery unsolved.
I'm going to assume that there will be no wall surrounding the WWL site, for a couple reasons. First, the site is only really accessible from one side, making it hard to see all of it. And, they want to increase traffic back there, right? Well, a construction site just may do that - even with the GP!

So... no fence?
Well, no wall. Plenty of fences :) . And given the size of the area, I don't think it's practical. My feeling is that it will be on display much like Dragster was during the fall of 2002.

I did find this one funny.:)
Honestly, there really isn't anything of value behind the blur. I was just being cautious.

Any chance that we can see some of these at wallpaper size?
I'll work on getting a couple up.
Hey, Walt - Just so ya know, there's an EDIT button up there. ;)
Seriously though, can you confirm that there is no fence/wall/other barrier blocking the view from on foot while in the park?
