On another note, my baby is looking nice, bright, and shiny!

Ah, I see. Thanks Walt!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go schedule an eye appointment. :)

Great pics! Thanks Walt.

I was wondering if anyone knows of any older aerial pics on the web somewhere. For example pre-Dragster, pre-MF, pre-Magnum or even older. I know there are some 04 aerials on here, but just wondering if there are any older than that. I just think it would be cool to see the progression of the park over the years through aerial photos.

There is no dark side of the moon really. Matter of fact it's all dark.

Walt, Your pictures are amazing..like all your pictures are. Its nice to see the park. Thanks for sharing them with us. Can We use one of them for our desktop pattern? My Favorite was of the Skyhawk, and I was wondering if we could use that one?

You can use any of the pictures from the site for your own personal background. I'm going to try to add some to the wallpaper section later.

I have the aerial from the 2000 - 2002 timeframe posted on my site. I'm not exactly sure when it was taken though.

I would also have to concure that these are wonderful shots Walt. Threads have spoken of doing aerial shots in the past, but I never thought anyone would actualy do it. Thanks. :)

It appears as though the blue crane near skyhawk is trapped. Is this so?

Those fences come apart pretty easily. How do you think they get cranes out to most of the rides?

And then one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun

There's an acess point right behind Skyhawks left leg. They'll probably use the yellow crane to pull one of the legs backwards and drive the blue one out.

It's their property. If they ask you to leave and/or not enter, you must abide or they can call Law Enforcement to escort you away.

They can't ban someone for flying over the park and taking photos... You'd have to break some sort of rule inside the park pretty badly to get a ban.

JuggaLotus's avatar

Yes they can. As long as the ban doesn't break discrimination laws, and they can prove that, then they can ban you as long as they like. If Walt posted aerial pictures of the site, and CP had asked him not to, then they can say "Sorry, you are not welcome in our park."
You do not have any kind of "right" to be able to visit the park, it is a privilege.

I did find this one funny.:)

Honestly, there really isn't anything of value behind the blur. I was just being cautious.

I was thinking the same thing. But then I figured that you did it just to be safe.
You're representing you're loyalty to Cedar Point very well.:)

I still think that second picture really shows how much space is empty back there. Not what's actually there, just the length of the space. http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=3283

Just get me on the bridge of the Enterprise. Then we can just view the area directly. None of this enhancing of photos stuff.

Good job with the pictures Walt. I was just curious though, what kind of plane did you take these on? The Millennium Force, Raptor, and Magnum shots are the best. You cannot see these kinds of angles of these 3 coasters from the ground. Great JOB!!

It was a Piper 28.

I'm beaming you a board now, Jugga.

Would you like 2X8's or 2X4's?
