Update: Aerial Photos

Uploaded some photos from a plane ride I took earlier today. I think they turned out pretty well, but I definitely learned some things for the next trip. Big thanks to Dave and Colleen from Griffing.

To answer the obvious question, there will not be any aerials of the WWL site until after the project is announced. We will have ground shots, though, once the park opens.

Some really nice shots in this bunch, love the wide shots of the Point (new background!). Bummer on no WWL pics, though... some of the back pics were so close to revealing... something, but no cigar.

The toll booth by Blue Streak is gone. Now did they finally realize its useless there and just take it out? Maybe there going to put something else there? Or did they move it to the Mean Streak gate because they are going to have construction equipment/trucks entering the WWL area all summer and needed something other then a swinging gate like what is there now to keep people out? Those toll booths are portable, just pick them up with a crane.

I might be thinking to much into this, and its just trashed to the bone yard, but it did make me wonder, why now to get rid of it.

I bet seeing what's currently on the WWL site got you excited, eh?:)

There are some pics that barely get the area in sight......but yeah, nothing to really tell. From the very few pictures that actually barely show anything....there's allllooottt of empty looking space back there. Like this one for example: http://www.pointbuzz.com/Gallery.aspx?i=3283

So why did you blur out the WWL area, and omit other pictures of the area? It's not against the rules to post pictures you took in a plane...

At least Skyhawk should get you up high enough in the air to get a glimpse of what's going on back there. :-)

I was thinking the same thing. It's probably just landscaping.

Are you both talking about the area I circled? It appears to have fresh concrete, so maybe its for a midway food cart or a new Games location. Or even tables.
