TTD Status: Day to Day

That's surprising!! If it's anything like the old cable breaks, it should hopefully be up for tomorrow.

I believe I read that it took around 6 to 9 hours for the cable to be replaced back in 2004. As long as they have an extra one on site, it should be the same situation.

A broken cable can't stand in TTD's way. We're going for a record here Adam. (TTD operates everyday for the 2006 season, we're almost there)

They're quick about getting a new cable strung though, so there's no worries... especially since my father is looking forward to riding it tomorrow for the 1st time...

They were having a hard time getting the old cable disconnected from the sled. They were working on that for atleast 2 hours, and were still doing so when I left. They kept talking about how everything was rusted on.... and the pieces that were coming off were definitely quite rusted.

Well if they don't get it up by tomorrow this will be the second time since the National Geographic Channel's show that camera crews are at CP and Dragster isn't open for filming.

I highly doubt the ride will remain closed tomorrow. They work on these problems through the night. Sadly this type of problem isn't all that uncommon (meaning not to hard to fix). Does anyone know if TTd is open today?

My family and our friends are going tomorrow and Friday, I just hope they can get their first Dragster rides.

What great press CP is gonna have on friday...I hope that it opens and people get to see it. Even if it's down, I'm sure it will get a mention. But, CP is great enough even without TTD open for someone who's never been there.

Dragsters just a little camera shy. That's why the cable broke.:)

Oh, so that's why the ride breaks down 4-5 times a day for a short period of time. It's because someone has a camera around and is trying to film the ride. :)

My camera never shuts it down. :)

Neither does mine. Dragster knows when I'm at the park. It always behaves when Im there. Why do you think it decided to break down tuesday? It's because I was at the park Monday.;)

P.S.-It's been closed for half the day now.

I just saw it test at 7:05

It appears as though it is now raining. So this one is on you Adam. Can we count this as being down for mechanical reason/down for weather?

I left at 7:20 and never saw it open nor test, but it did start to rain later in the evening which might have precluded its opening.

It would of been up. I say it still has it's streak.
