You said a lot more than that.
And about a "problem" that virtually no one will ever care about, no less.

The "brand new park expansion" would be connecting the 2 KIDDIE sections anyways. Who is that going to bring in?
.
Kings Dominion is doing it. They're connecting Planet Snoopy and KidZville to create the largest kids area. I'm not saying Cedar Point's will be the largest but combining Kiddy Kingdom and Planet Snoopy is certainly something I think will happen in the next few years.

Families. Also known as the most coveted demographic the park serves, seeing as how they spend the most money.

^ And it would be a great way to update and refresh Kiddy Kingdom. I could almost guarantee they wouldn't just leave the two areas separate, even though connected together. They'd do the same thing Kings Dominion is doing.
But that's OK. Families won't come to the park for that.

If they upgrade Kiddie Kingdom as part of uniting the two areas then they have something to advertise about, although I am not sure that will draw a bunch of new people into the park. But just tying the two areas together would not seem like a very marketable expansion.
True. However, a concerted, ongoing effort to invest in family entertainment options in the park is likely to be quite marketable. And they have to start somewhere.
Brandon
You are right - have to start somewhere. But I can't help but think back on all of the discussion where Kiddy Kingdom was getting ripped on because parents can't ride anything with their kids. How big of an overhaul do you think the park would take on?
This idea was brought up to management, like I said, by the planning department, but they haven't pulled the trigger yet. We don't know for sure if they'll ever approve this. I would like to see 3 flat rides behind the Main arcade or anything other than the pine trees and basketball game they have there now. It's currently a waste of space.
Oh and while they're at it, like I've said in the past, they can tear down the red employee dorms by the marina, take down the fence by the old Wildcat area, shift the perimeter road further to the left by the lake, and expand the park over to the marina (behind the Good Times Theatre) also.
That last part is pretty major.

I think everyone has scared of Troika. Cause this has gone into left field & third base off the topic. Just scaring.

Really? I haven't paid close attention to that 3 Point Challenge location specifically, but it's clear the other locations are huge money-makers for the park.

Two Points:
1. The flat rides behind the break area would be awesome. We do need some new flats. I think that HUSS would be up to building them.
2. I think that the old WildCat area can be better used than that. Build a Euro Fighter over the road to where the red buildings are now. Make it a "drive-under the ride" road. Make the station near the train/rest room area.

Cedars dorms are not going anywhere, where will those current employees dorm at then?
They should put a top spin in place of that basketball game, it would fit perfect in that spot.
Euro-fighters aren't the best capacity rides, especially for a park like CP. And those "red buildings" are the employee dorms. However if CP were to build a compact ride like a euro-fighter. I'd say they would go back to Intamin and build a "near" vertical lift coaster.
The only possible location for this would for it to lift over/behind the GTT, and then have the first drop near the marina entrance. Most of the layout should take up the turnpike cars site and then the train would return under the lift structure(X2.
Something like this...

On Topic:
I wonder if CP plans on sprucing up the area next to TroikaTroikaTroika? There is going to be quite a bit of open space now. Hopefully a nice shaded area with nice curvy walls and shrubs. Mr. O did say he's like to open up the beach-view.
A Eurofighter can have adequate capacity. Mystery Mine can allegedly do 1,000 pph.
As for Cedars, the moment a replacement dorm opens on the mainland, Cedars will be a distant memory. That building is long overdue demolition.

Without moving Perimeter Road over it wouldn't fit behind GTT. At one point the building is so close to the road that there is just enough room to walk between the building and road. The holding theater however could be torn down and that land used but even then I don't think any space near the theater will ever be used.

Like my explanation as to how the TL and ATL utilizes that specific break area? And that's so bad because?...
Jeff, nobody meaning who? Guests won't care because it's not like they care what a DOR is or who is scheduled to work. Leadership would care, management would care, Live E would care, the Tech guys would care...Why do I all of a sudden have people jumping on my case because I initially said I wondered what KK leadership would do? o.0
djDaemon, I see what you're saying. However, those 2 areas already exist and it's funny that the GP doesn't notice that. All they have to do is walk through the main arcade, but I guess that common sense doesn't strike as many people as we think.
Also, get ready to say goodbye to the Cedars Dorms within the next couple of years. They'll soon be a problem of the past.

A steep lift hill would do the job. (Skyrush)
A nice Fahrenheit-like coaster would eat up the GP. I could see CP going for the inversion record with this type of model.

Your explanation implied that nothing should happen to that area because it's a place where staff meets to fill out paperwork. And smoke cigarettes. I added the smoking part, mainly because that's what people do back there.
And progress will happen whether ride operators (who, a lot of times think the world revolves around them) like it or not.
