Track going up now

What are you talking about? The park was packed on Wednesday. I'm not so sure it is 130' because when I went on the Jr. Gemini, (the new ride is ride next to the hill), it was about eye level with me. So the new ride is about 20' high so far, no 130'.
Umm... I know I was there too on Wednesday... That new coaster was great!

Oh, it's "I feel sick" I can't even get a simple quote right, time for bed.

Regarding the guy who said he was there on Wednesday: Cedar Point's website says that it holds many special events during off days, and though some access may be restricted, the park is open to the public during these special events.
Well to dispute Wednesday dudes report. I was there tonight and the new tower is eye level with the top of magnum hill. How do i know cuz i was riding magnum, and oh wait! the park IS open on saturdays!
Nuh uh!;)

i was looking at some of the older pictures from virtual midway

http://www.virtualmidway.com/mystery/default_p082902.asp

and i realized that there was a lot of straight track in the parking lot around the end of august.....does anyone know what happened to it?

They're probably somewhere in the construction site - I'm guessing they'll go on the low level supports that approach the tower.

also i have realized that the really short grey supports (seen in the fourth picture in the first row at http://www.virtualmidway.com/mystery/default_p082902.asp )have not been used anywhere, including in the launch run as seen in picture 19 at http://www.midwestcoastercentral.com/galleries/CP_2002-10-11/default.asp (unless of course there is construction going on that we can't see, or that no one has taken pictures of, because i haven't been to the point in a while).
After going to the Point yesterday I have a new found understanding for the enourmous size of this thing. It truly is going to be huge. Also, I think that we are either going to see two tophats or one tophat with a lot of twisting. My friend and I looked in the parking lot and counted 11 pieces of track that twist at least a bit. In my opinion, merely one tophat with two 90 degree twists will not need 11 pieces of twisting track! I could of course be very wrong on this.

:) "if aquarium gravel is so bad for you... how come it tastes so good?" :)

I was wondering if anyone would feel the same as I do about this picture...

I was looking at the ID side of gray columns, does anyone else notice, but they don't seem to line up with the up/down side of the vertical track. What do you think?
