It doesn't matter. All that matters is who gives you the best quote for your shipment to go from point A to point B. It's up to the carriers, ocean freight, brokers, etc to have it all condensed into one final bill and whichever method they say they'll use, that's that.
You know, I was thinking what Tony Clark said couple months ago about this ride doing something thats never been done before or however he worded it....
Being that we normally over-expect what a ride can be and it being on a smaller scale, I think I know what he meant...
Simply put, this ride will not have substantial downtime..... that's it.
All the footers is like for a Carvana of maintenance tracks just ready to offload the next set of trains on the ride for IF it wants to act stupid one week.
Bam, perfect. We have 50 trains on site. Ready to go.
Drive the sky must be referring to unload the Carvana backup option when trains fail randomly.

Wicked Twister has entered the chat. Also, remember - it looks like the load track will be infield of the launch track. So not only is there precedent for moving trains passing by guests at platform level, it appears in this case the load track will also separate guests from it.

I guess I'm not seeing that in the LEL video. I do see a very large footer, but the foundations appear similar in size to those on the top hat side. And the large foundation would make sense if that's where a transfer track will be, since it's common to have multiple footers share a larger foundation when footers are in close proximity to one another.
Also, am I the only one seeing multiple sets of rebar, presumably for foundations, beneath the canopy, in line with the existing launch track and the large footers directly south of the station, and outfield of what appears to be the new load track? What are those for, if not for track that will lead to the spike?

Whatever those grouping of rebar in line are for they are not substantial enough for the 4 bases that are currently in the yard off to the side.
I see what you're saying dj. Hadn't noticed those before and to your point that larger footer north of the station already has some piers formed in a rectangular pattern so I think we can say the few other larger circular supports dont appear to be going there either.

I could see the load/unload station being on the opposite side of the launch track. Load then come around the corner to a switch track.

That IS what I was talking about. At least one person understood the trains I was referring to. Someone even mentioned RMC’s murderous trains 😆 I’m pretty sure the only murderous RMC trains weren’t built by them. I think they were built by Gerstlauer…and after that incident RMC started building their own trains.
I was being sarcastic about Intamin's "killer" trains and RMC's "murderous" track record, in response to Jeff's post.
I wonder if they could somehow do a switch track that switched "vertically" rather than horizontally. All of the ones we've seen (or at least that I'm aware) do a side-by-side switch. The obvious challenge is the vertical spacing of the switch to allow for both positions, but it could be done with an elevated switch position.
Launch from a "lower level" up to the primary launch height, but when going backward the switch raises you up over the canopy.

I haven't seen anyone mention this but coaster-net doesn't think the spike would be above 200ft because there is no faa filing yet and when there is, there is a 30day waiting period before construction can begin and they think there isn't enough time to make it happen...
They can say that but some weeks ago, a rumor came out saying construction was about 1 month behind and here we are seeing construction progress over the last few weeks tackling all kinds of areas at the same time.
Now, most of us thought the announcement day would be 8-16 but here it is 8-1 now which makes we wonder...
Will there be FAA filing on 8-1? The day of announcement? There is already a crane there... surely they aren't renting it's time just to look pretty.
Going over 200ft by sep 1 should be enough time to get this finished however, Tony really never confirmed it would even be ready on opening day next year back in May which makes me wonder if they were having delaying issues back then.
Is the timeline in that much jeopardy now? They have the most time-consuming part of the construction for the spike complete with the foundations being poured months ago and given them time to cure. Erecting the steel for that element is the quick part of that job.
