I feel like the thread is going in circles now. I guess that happens when it's 227 pages long but we are right back to the Lightning Train IAAPA video and the track being shipped to Italy. It's like we can just wipe out the last hundred pages.
Jesus. 4 days to announcement. They have a chance to tease one more time going into the last weekend. And their social media is silent. Wicked marketing strategy right there.
Just found this. Figure i just keep it going as deja vu.
If we keep at it, maybe we can go all the way back to 1870.
Pretty significant crane just arrived to cedar point. I comer if they plan to go vertical om the spike this weekend.

Intamin also makes fantastic trains with great restraints that are already proven.
I take it you're not very familiar with the things the trains and restraints have proven.

If that crane is destined for the project site, it’s likely that it will be used to erect a crawler crane and set some low laying steel. Has anyone noticed any mats/heavy timber on site yet? Guessing the clearing of brush early today may be the staging area for a crawler.

Velocicoaster
Kevin based on that astute observation I think we can safely infer that this crane will be use to assemble the crane for the spike and new top hat inversion.
Based on the great scale in the image we can calculate that the pixel width would give us an extended height of 420 feet tall which should allow them to assemble a new crane to put the inverted 500foot top hat on with the infiled return to go up the third vertical section their adding to the existing tower that will loop back to the new foundations like a giant Tigris setup!
Outstanding work!
Still haven't been able to uncross these circuits...

Velocicoaster
Well, you obviously don't know about the murderous row of Intamin trains and restraints killing people left and right, like double amputees whom the ride ops should never had allowed board.....(horrible situation nonetheless, Iraq war veteran)
Me, I'm just thankful it's not an RMC train, since, statistically speaking, those trains are the most dangerous ones on the planet, having an even higher baserate kill-rate than Intamin (if you can imagine that).
Or that B&M isn't doing the spike -- otherwise, we will be seeing support cracks everywhere....
Well just like the crane on site 2 months ago, this is from Capital City. Based on the list of available cranes to rent from Capital City, the new crane appears to be the same model and possibly the same crane as before.
Lieberr LTM 1300-6.2, 256' height as is and 374' height with additional pieces as shown with TF and TN setup below. Keep a look out for more parts to arrive. Last time additional trucks with crane attachments arrived overnight and were stage near breakers.

New crane coming in. Any idea height?
Only one way to really know:
Wow, that made me chuckle hard......
In today's LEL update video, the yard shot is very interesting. I see 5 large base columns with the bolt risers and shear keys at the upper part of the yard closest to the hotel. I see these as 3 very similar columns (triangle) and two similarly large bases as being for the rectangular foundation "behind" the station. Then, I see on the side grouping of 4 not as large bases with shear key. I am asserting that these 4 will go in front of the station on the currently being poured foundation creating some sort of profile ( double up into spike ?) that passes over the station. I just cant see this high speed track passing so close at platform level. Lastly, then there are 3 similar diameter columns that appear to be second layer of the triangle. The fact that the two columns for the rectangular slab are the same big diameter suggests that they will have a longer reach which would not be the case if the track curved up from platform level.

Clearly Frog Hopper was referring to the new age Intamin trains on Velocicoaster, Toutatis, Batman Gotham Escape, Pantheon, Steel Dolphin, Taron and Taiga, none of which (checks notes) has “murdered” anyone, and not the train design that is 2 decades old in which you’re referring.

For anyone new here, the difference between Intamin and Zamperla from Genoa is a one hour drive. It doesn’t really narrow it down. That is the port it would ship to for either manufacturer.

That IS what I was talking about. At least one person understood the trains I was referring to. Someone even mentioned RMC’s murderous trains 😆 I’m pretty sure the only murderous RMC trains weren’t built by them. I think they were built by Gerstlauer…and after that incident RMC started building their own trains.
Clearly the foundation in front of the station is designed for a much bigger load than just a switch track. there are a couple large pedestals being formed to pour. The unaccounted for base columns in the yard indicate that there might be even another deep big foundation yet to be formed even closer to the station but it is open now to facilitate movement . Friday night before announcement and all of you point buzzers are kind of silent when it comes to acknowledging what is currently in the yard.
