SpeedDemon:
Oh Jesus. One half joking message about a tweet and already someone jumps on with the “reading too much into it” reply. Some of y’all are way too serious in here sometimes.
Well, don't you think you are?
Where on the former brake track that is being reinstalled would they mount all of the hardware required for the launch? The support columns would have had to have been rebuilt, the track wouldn't be 2-rail, etc.

I think the tweet is supposed to read as they are just getting started with the reimagine/project.
I don't think there is any other meaning other than that.
I will say I'm surprised that this work is happing now in the middle of the season. Looks like they want to leave a lot of room for testing and tweaking!
I suspect the early start to the track work is more likely to do with the fact that there is a whole other half of this ride that has yet to be installed; plus the station, controls, launch mechanisms, etc. And, given how Ohio winters are around here, I would think they’d want to get as much vertical construction done as possible before it gets really cold.
Well, it's not that flat track can't support an LSM launch in general, but that it couldn't support an LSM system dealing with this ride's speed and force.
The fact that new building foundations are being constructed under the launch side (mechanical room) should point immediately to no change in direction.
