Not to diss on your junior high drafting class, but the drawing and title block look authentic to me. I'm an architect and everything on there looks realistic. I just think they took a small portion of the drawing and put it on a smaller piece of paper and "mocked up" the titles and stuff for the picture. It looks professional to me. Just staged.
I can't quite make out the scale of the drawing, but it looks like it says 1"=20'. So, that's about right for a site plan.
Anyone know the dimensions of one of those garbage cans so we can get an idea of how much space we're talking about in this drawing?
Now that you mention it, the close up is a torn piece from a larger piece of paper. All this time we have focused on the center when perhaps we need to focus on what is visable around the right and top edges of the graphic. Regardless, it appears to be a planted image, but still there may be some clues in this...
Well the trash can dimensions i have no idea about, but isn't their like a trash can every 50-100 feet or something??

unless cedar point is going to add the worlds largest trash cans. lol
Perhaps an idea of what the full size plans would look like (dimensions)?

Note: I based the box on the idea that the print was folded into 1/4's and then torn to get semi-clean edges. I also based the width on the Cedar Point logo being the center of the sheet, since the logo is split almost directly down the middle.
I can't believe what this conversation has gotten to. Discussing and arguing about paper sizes? Come on people, it was a beautiful day today, enjoy the end of the summer.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Hmm... has anyone else noticed that Jeff/Walt (whoever updated the site, I'm not sure) on the front page next to the 2006 Watch has the picture of the garbage can next to the white piller? Correct me if I'm wrong, but that has been there for a few days, correct? And look at the picture on the blog. Garbage can... white piller? Huh? HUH?*sniff* *sniff* Do I smell a consparicy theory?
Very Interesting!!!
Maybe we need to change the title of this thread to Jeff/Walt Teasing Us Again...

Um wow... I mean it isn't possible that the picture of the trashcan was posted because thats where one of the markers are? Nope, I bet that isn't possible since that ruins everyones fun of these big fancy thoughts.
I think this was done on purpose. They probably have the actual size Blueprint much much bigger than that, but somehow shrunk it through a copy machine and just told Tony and Tyler to scribble on it and do what you can. I used to work construction, well just a month anyway, I didn't like it because it did too much strain on my back.

I think they're real!
What I think Tony and Tyler did was make an altered copy of the plans (switching the titles) ....But whatever the plans are, they look small (not a coaster). So now we need to guess as to what the plans are of.
What do you care, you always say that if Top Thrill Dragster isn't open you won't go to Cedar Point? Hasn't there been enough "OmG!!1 I know Cp will get this KinD of coaster next year11!1!" threads? No matter how much you look at that blueprint, no matter how much people brighten it up and draw lines on it, will it give people on here enough details on the new ride to be happy. Then they announce the whatever and people will still cry it isn't 50505059 feet and has 1 million loops.
Wow, this thread is just wow. I can not believe people actually think the plans were just laying there.

Ok first off, what are you talking about!!?? What I said in the Dragster forum has nothing to do with this, AT ALL!
And I havn't always been saying "that if Top Thrill Dragster isn't open I won't go to Cedar Point." I only said that once.....
And if you think there's too much talk (which I don't think), then don't even bother posting in any of them, just stick to something else. Because the way I see it, there are 3 topics that are related to 2006.....but they are all different as to what they are about.
Sorry, but you were going nowhere with your post.

This is by far the funniest thing I've seen. It's good to see that CP reads this web site and plays off it. That arrow could have been drawn by anyone. Oh well! As a former employee of this season I can tell you employees know nothing. I saw the 'planning people' in a location once this year, but at that location you will never see nothing to crazy like a ride. When was town hall built? that part of the park seems to be too old to move or destroy. Granted they have tons of room back there to do almost anything. Since they are doing this, something is coming, but you have to admit, they sure can keep a secret!

This is stupid. They are trying way too hard to build up the buzz for the ride.
No, actually they're not trying way too hard. Everyone in here sure is, though!
The plans were "found" now because they're getting ready to announce the 2006 season ticket pricing, and (given this year's dismal attendance) they felt the need to do "something" to generate excitement. They DO read the comments here, and know that virtually everyone (except Walt? LOL) was disappointed with at least one thing they did this year.
I believe the blog was set up for this purpose, the timing of this "plant" is for this purpose, and everyone here is falling over themselves. ROTF! Now please finish the psychology experiment by running out and paying those high pass prices again when they're announced next week, even though you complained all year about how much less you got for the money.
It wouldn't even surprise me if the "details" were held back until the early pass pricing had expired (or was about to expire - November?) If that's the case, you can bet a lot that the "plans" are nothing more than another big disappointment (cough**MaxAir**cough.)
Hey, I heard a rumor that Top Thrill Dragster is sinking...
Wow...
Not much else to say...
I've tried sending a couple (what I thought to be) well-crafted questions to T&T, but I think maybe the questions were a little too loaded, as I received no response.
Has anyone noticed that in all of T&T's responses they refer to the item in questions as "real construction plans", but never the real construction plans?

Yeah, it is not like most of the folks posting in this discussion aren't making it easy enough for them to. :)

Does anyone remember my stunt show idea? Well I e-mailed that idea to CP and this is what they told me. "We do have such a stunt show at our sister park Knotts Berry Farm". They also said the would defintly consider putting one in at CP. By the way, KBF's show is a western. This probably means nothing but it might be a possible addition for 06.
