Hey Walt, you missed like 2 other markings. That post with the white top is still in the grassy area beside SRF's queue, and its pretty big, and hard to miss. Of course, maybe you left those out for a reason...

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Monty doesn't equal new roller coaster. Monty equals the guy who is in charge of maintenance and construction.
And I doubt, yes I doubt, Tony and Tyler know exactly what is going to happen next season. Unless the announcement is right around the corner, they may have heard whispers but I dounbt they know in details. Remember the interview Tony did right here on PB? http://www.pointbuzz.com/tonyclark.htm
"I'm thrilled to be a part of the Cedar Point team, but the enthusiast in me still asks, "what next?" (p.s. they haven't told me)."
Yes they probably have a much better idea what is going to happen than any of us, but I doubt they'll know until a few weeks before the announcement.
From the recent press release:
Kinzel concluded by explaining that the Partnership plans to announce its 2006 capital plans for Worlds of Fun tomorrow, September 7. Capital expenditure plans at the Partnership’s other parks for next season are in the process of being finalized and will be announced over the next month or two.
We'll miss you MrScott and Pete
Interesting stuff! As I'm sure most would agree, this appears to be a pretty creative (and obvious)fabrication, or perhaps elaboration, of the plans for next season. I'd be surprised if the internal name for whatever their plans are for that area next year would be titled "New For 2006". But what do I know? Additionally I'd find it improbable (to the point of being silly) that the plans would be found there.
That being said, whatever is on that paper is probably the true plans for the area. From what I can see (and I have horrible vision ;) ), it sort of looks like it may just be a landscaping renovation of some sort.

Landscaping - yeah there will be some of that done too I'm sure. Coincidence where they "found" these plans? No way. It coincides to where the construction markings have been found, and is pretty close to White Water Landing - the ride that Park spokesman Robin Innes could not deny that it was for sale or being removed from the park.

And all this balogna about not being able to "find" or "get ahold of" monty is all rediculous.
It's like holding out a string infront of a cat. And we keep pawing at it.

All of the other coasters that have been started for next year are already well under way with footings and track arrival. NOTHING like that has happened at CP. So, I highly doubt there's a coaster on its way. Just not going to happen. I'd love it if there was a new coaster, but sadly, it doesn't look promising. Remeber how "earth shattering" of an announcement their price-cutting was on the blog? This is probably just some tiny improvement to the park.
It is interesting that they showed a site plan though. IF it was a ride of any type, the ride would most likely not show up on a site improvement plan. So, even if we could read that whole thing, it wouldn't tell us what kind of ride it was.
