The seatbelt issue is something that CP can only try to get Intamin to lift. The parks basically have to do stuff like that when the manufacturer/designer finds a safety "flaw". CP would be in a very precarious position if they just said "No" to Intamin on this safety issue because the state, and maybe even the feds since it could be considered an international issue, would be on CP's back because they are not following safety recommendations/regulations provided by the designer/manufacturer for safe operation.
As for the latest blog entry, the only interesting thing is T&T's rather firm comment on the WWL site.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.
Yea, I know CP can't just say "NO", its state law that they have to listen to all manufactuers suggestions and changes. But the thing we don't know is if they have tried to discuss a change for MF by changing it so it would work and make Intamin a happy as well, but since we don't know what goes on behind close doors, all we can do is speculate.
"If it looks good, you'll see it; if it sounds good, you'll hear it, if it's marketed right, you'll buy it; but... if it's real, you'll feel it."
Its not just Millennium Force that had the seatbelt change, Dragster had the seatbelt change as well, we just don't notice it too much. That's still not a good reason to call Cedar Point the Dissapointment park. I think Cedar Point is the Best! Are you able to ride? Is that why you call Cedar Point the dissapointment park Lakeland dude? For all we know like you said, they could be working on changing the belts now.
His name IS his profile name.
I've seen dozens of people getting off Dragster because of the belt Shawn. I guess the example seat at the beginning of the queue had a longer belt length or something, because how can you get passed that and not be able to get on the ride without there being a difference?

It's common practice when responding to someone on a message board to use their full alias when referring to them. Many people just highlight the poster's name and copy it to their rebuttal. How are we to know that that is indeed you full name or that you would rather be referred to as something else?
What you've selected to post as your screen name is irrelevant. However, don't get all defensive when that's how others refer to you later in the conversation.
That fact that only Jay McKinney (see there, I used his full screen name, gasp!!) isn't alarmed by this actually has me concerned.

How often does "google earth" or whatever those cool programs are that give us great overhead satellite shots update themselves? Couldnt we get a nice birds eye view of whats happening with the WWL plot using those? I hope when I walk in the park in May I see a fence. :)
You can all just call me "Kevin". Or...whatever.
Its amazing to think how far we've come in the info we get...and seek...about new rides. Imagine how crazy all of us here would go if we got sent back with Marty McFly to the year 1985...and couldnt log and post and theorize and investigate....
Now we get upset if someone doesnt have top secret pictures posted on a website, or if Tony and Tyler "tease us" too much, and Im talking about looking at satellite photos!
:)
Its gonna be a great year at the point.
