The Rude Crew Award goes to... Ripcord!

Oh yeah, Another thing. Get off Sarah's back! Seriously, you people are ridiculous. I am just amazed that you have nothing better to do than sit around and tattle on people! Get a life! Hey Sarah...love you and miss you!!!!

Well...Thanks, RetroRipCord2, for validating the compliants about the RipCord crew.

Not only did you display your obvious rude and inconsiderate behavior, but you also had the balls to blame the customer. That is hardly what Cedar Point is about. Hmmm, I can definitely see why this crew has been getting complaints.

Have you never been rude to anyone? I never blamed youi just said that there are some considerations that could of had an influence on my crew's behavior. its hard to work long hour days and peppy friendly people all day long if you can do it then why don't you work there and see if you don't get just a little rude. safety is taking seriously, we are always safe. when you mentioned that you didn't know that the floor was going to fall then obviously you didnt' hear us say "Flyers the floor is going to fall don't grab for the walls, clear going down"if you would like that to be repeated all you have to say is wait slow down and say it again, we will be happy to say it again. Repeating ourselves does come to play when we start to be rude sorry, that is only because he have to say the instructions a gabillion times and yet people still dont' pay attention. then you have to bark the orders so the flyers dont' hurt themselves or anyone else.
as for mentioning why i said i was the atl: i realize that i no longer work there but i feel that since i was responsible in dealing with my crew and summer i still feel like its my crew. but now that i am not working there i can express my feelings and stand up for my crew cause i know how they feel.
if you have to give us a complaint about the crew then tell us first hand, tell a silver tag and the matter will get straightened out.
i did not blame you, i am just stating some considerations that i have delt with the whole summer. sorry your experience with the ripcord was as fun as you expected.
HEY SARAH!

RetroRipCord02 said: Hey All- I must say I was kinda surprised but most of all I was sick. Sick that a bunch of people who have never worked in park op could sit here and judge us on one bad experience.

In the real world, people decide whether or not to visit the park again based on the one bad experience....whether or not to make purchases in the tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars based on a single impression.

And were you actually to achieve a position of prominence in the real world, you'd have to be even more attuned to the needs of your customer and the little dance called 'keeping them happy' (and their $$$ in your pocket) would become far more intricate.

Not that you'll ever amount to much with that attitude...you won't. Either you'll learn to choke on that silly little pride of yours or you'll never even make manager at your local Wal-Mart.

who said anything about a real world issue?i'm talking about an amusement park, if my job life job was the amusement park then yea i would be nicer but its not its a job to help with college.
Slammed by a playa. That hurts!

Anyway. I said nothing of real life issues. This is a summer amusement park. If it were my job for the rest of my life I'm sure I would take it a little more seriously. As for my job as the general manager at the local Wal-Mart, I love it. Thanks =)

OMG, sarah you are starting to show your true colors. Hmmm, most of us take pride in ALL of our jobs. Regardless, if it's a low paying job to being a CEO of a company. But apparently, you are saying you don't take your job at Cedar Point as serious as you would your *life job*. You guys on the RipCord Crew are just showing why you are getting complaints.....

And you'll be just as successful at 'taking it more seriously' as fat people dieting three weeks before the prom.

Michael had me believe you guys had a bad day....then you had to speak for yourselves and ruin it.

Yup, my thoughts exactly, Playa. I see they are definitely showing their true colors, which is substantiating Michael's claim.

ok this has to stop,
first of all, you have no clue who i am or what i am even like
second:i liked my job at cp, and i did take it seriously what i didnt' take seriously are people *****ing about everylittle detail
third:my life job will be on that i truly respect and will take seriously
fourth:i'm done making comments on here cause i have better things to do and obviously you people dont
have a nice life!

"We would be nicer, if you would be smarter."

Played right in to it. See, that's what makes dim people so funny.

You can tell them,"Hey,look--you're going to do something really, really stupid," and just to show you a thing or two they'll do exactly what you said they would do.

May I suggest saving your tuition money for cartons of Marlboro, cases of beehive hairdo spray and a double-wide?

Well sorry interval is pretty damn important cause if we don't hit it we get yelled and rotation is usually held for a certain amount of time.

Adam, Costaplaya expressed it perfectly. Pay attention and lose your piss poor attitude. Besides that, if interval is so important, how come interval was almost never made when I rode Blue Streak? Yes, I'm a guest moaning about that, 'cause I think some of you could have shown a little more enthusiasm and moved a little quicker.

I dunno people ... I'm not commenting on the "incident" as I was not there, am not interested in taking sides, etc., but it does seem to me things may have gotten just a teensy bit personal (ah, the courage of anonymity). Sara may be justified in feeling a little miffed - personally, I don't believe your job is the be-all and end-all definer of your worth.

So comments like "I don't want to (know you), 'cause Im (sic) sure you'd be rude to me" seem unfair - to me anyway, but whadda I know ...

You poor misguided person. An amusement park isn't the real world? Tell that to the managers, VPs, shareholders, union employees, etc., etc. People work there who support their families and count on the success of the park. They don't need a little princess like you disrespecting guests and giving the park a bad reputation. You were hired to do a job with certain standards of conduct, not blow things off because it's not your "life job". I hope you have this attitude now becuase you are immature and don't know any better. Not that it's an excuse, but maybe you can straighten yourself out. If not, then you shouldn't do anything more service oriented than draining the grease out of the fryers at McDonalds.

I must intervene....these are the people I worked with all summer, and I care about them all very much, but I think this bickering and complaining is out of line. We all realize that we have bad days from time to time, but I will not validate bringing those bad attitudes to work! We should not yell at the guests because they have never worked in park op, or anywhere at CP...it is not their job to know our job experience. It is their job to come to the park and enjoy our ride! And we should give them our 100% effort and a good attitude. While I admit this was not always the case for me the whole summer, I know myself and others did make an honest attempt to do this, and I again apologize to those who had bad experiences on the ride....there is no excuse for bad attitudes. Please do not let this ranting and raving be the model for the entire ripcord crew. I for one do take my job at CP very seriously as I would like to work there possibly for a career, and if anything has made me sick it is the juvenille yelling taking place on this forum between fellow crewmembers of mine and guests.

To Bill and Sarah: I am sorry if I sound like I am bashing you guys, but I dont think we as the crew should ever try to validate bad attitudes on the flight line or in the flight suiting area. While we all had them at one time or the other, saying that it is ok for those attitudes to be in the workplace is unacceptable. Please dont let this mess with the great summer we all had!
