i agree with you BeemanCP65, i really want to see Cedar Point get a true sit down looper, i love kumba, i've been screaming these cries before they put in mf, like right after mantis, i'm just ready to see cedar point get variety in that arena.

Remember that rumored sit-down restaurant that was to be built near Magnum that just kinda disappeared into nowhere? It's certainly not gone, or at least that’s what I think. And what kind of restaurant only needs 3 footers? One that is off the ground, wouldn't you say? It fits perfectly if you ask me... three legs in a tripod like fashion, supporting a rotating disc, complete with sit down restaurant. Now that's something that might take a while to build, so Cedar Point starts now, as part of a late 2002 / early 2003 season addition.

I really dislike the idea of a rotating restaurant. A non rotating restaurant in that area of the park is a good idea and I do think one day one will be there, just not where the footers are. Im still going with my gut feeling that "Area 51" is something else. :)

It'l be a restaurant with $3.00 Pops and $6.00 Burgers...

Amen Jeff! That's what I'm hoping for. I doubt it will be what is going in Area 51 though. I'm not saying that you are implying that, but I personally think Cedar Point will wait to see how awesome they are at SFOG and AT before they decide to build one. I would love to see an Intamin woodie and a large intamin looper with MF style trains too. I'm hoping these are the next 3 coasters.

I e-mailed CP inquiring about the construction, and their replay was something like....while there have been no announcements made regarding any new rides, attractions, food services, etc., CP does all types of construction during the season. If any new info comes to light, it will be announced on the website.

what is millenium island

Millennium Island is an island off the coast of Australia. ;) More likley what they are refering to is the island were Millennium Force goes on, which paddlewheel excursions circles.

Last time I checked, a big metal floor doesn't require large footers with bolts sticking out of them.

If CP gets new wood (which at this point I doubt that will happen) I hope to dear God it's a CCI! There is no better coaster manufacturer in the world, in my opinion...every single CCI I've ridden has left me in disbelief after my first ride. Hopefully Cedar Fair will look at Ghostrider and Shivering Timbers and realize, "Hmmm, the Point sure needs one of these..." At this point, though, I believe I'm just dreaming. A CCI does not have what CP's frequent customers are looking for, record breaking stunts that create that "WOW" factor while waiting to ride (although get the people on a CCI and the "WOW" factor is there when they get off).

Personally, I believe it is nothing more than a slingshot ride...
