The most important question of all this... soda

Last I checked, Cedar Fair was not a charity. I'm an investor, and I value that quarterly distribution. They can't make such a distribution unless they make money.

What time does the water show start?

Hopefully it will be Pepsi, but I listened to the conference call about the aquisition of the park, and Mr. Kinzel said something along the lines that all current contracts will be kept. if i heard it correctly. BUT i'm HOPEING for Pepsi!!!!

According to a fellow lead at the park whose mom works with for Coke, Coke has till April 1st to pull all their machines and product so Pepsi can move in. Giving Pepsi a full month till opening day to set up and stock up.

I wish that Cedar Fair would convert completely over to Coca-Cola, that is my drink of preference personally, but they will probably go Pepsi on us. :-(

Thats good, I'm starting to get sick of coke, its too sugary. Pepsi has a better taste.

It's only a matter of time before CF goes back to Coke anyway...

Yeah... a matter of several decades. They just renewed the contract a few years ago.

Huh? Coca-Cola has been notoriously known to not be as sweet as Pepsi. In fact, Coke at one time scrapped their original formula and introduced "New Coke" which was supposed to resemble the sweetness of Pepsi. Apparently people that prefer Coke were complaining of the new formula so the company brought back their original formula and called it "Coca-Cola Classic".

How long is the contract??
That doesn't matter if they simply renew it again an the end of it. They are obviously happy with Pepsi.

Eddy the retard is awesome.

As all Cedar Fair Parks,, It will be PEPSI!,,
They are only "happy" with Pepsi because of the cuts they get. CP, like any company, will go with the company that gives them the best deal. And the sooner the contract is up the sooner the bidding will begin.
Forget Pepsi and Coke.

IMO, RC(Royal Crown) cola is the best.

I'm not sure if I am remembering this right or not, but I recall a big reason in CP having Pepsi, was because they wanted to have the coupon-cans distributed in the same market as which six flags was having coke distribute their coupon-cans. As a result of this, Coke wasn't even really an option for CP. Perhaps now that CF owns both Northern Ohio parks they will switch them both to Coke. Being an Atlanta boy, this would be good news for me when I visit.
Yeah, it's probably all in my head, but the coke tastes better in Atlanta! Must be knowing you're just miles from where it was made.

They make and bottle both Coke and Pepsi all over the country. I believe the closest bottling Plants for both Coke and Pepsi are in Elyria, Ohio. About 40 miles East of CP. Or at least I haven't seen any bottling plants closer. I beleive there is also a Coke bottling plant in Akron.

Thanks Jeff. I wasn't sure actually. I just remember seeing a plaque at AU. Something like "This lounge sponsored by: Coca Cola bottling of Northeast Ohio, Akron" or something like that.

Now that it's brought up it reminds me that the can distribution thing IS important to parks. And from my experience Pepsi is more flexable with such matters.
As it's been said over and over, the park will go with what will make the most money. Cedar Point does not pay a dime for any of the bottles in the various machines. Therefore, Cedar Point is making 100% profit of each bottle sold. Sounds like a good deal to me.
