That'd be tough to pull of in two months. But who knows?

What time does the water show start?

I am sure contractually they are bound to Coke for the 2004 season.
I say Pepsi. Although I don't know how these contracts are organized I would guess that Six Flags has a contract with Coke, not SFWOA. The same could be said that Cedar Fair has the contract with Pepsi, not CP. Taking this to the logical conclusion I would say that Pepsi will be available in the park and not Coke. But even if this is true, and it might not be, changing all the signs, vending machines, and stalls, will take time and it will be quite a feat for CF to pull off.

Ooh. Good question.

Think about it from Pepsi's POV. If they're offered a deal for GL, don't you think they'd jump on it and do everything they could to make it happen quickly? That could be the start of a very long and PROFITABLE relationship out there on the east-side.

I know its not very Cedar Fair-ish, but since they're going to be operating this as more of a local destination park rather than a vacation destination, could we maybe see the implementation of free or at least cheap soda at this park? Holiday World and Lake Compounce are the only two parks that I can think of that offer free pop offhand. I know it doesn't put direct $ into their pocket, but it is a good marketing tool for a local park.

Right, the contract is likely a corporate thing, and I doubt new owners (unless Six Flags, Inc. itself was purchased) would be bound to that.

I remember Michigan's Adventure sold Coke products untill Cedar Fair bought them. So I suspect Geauga Lake will sell Pepsi products. It's just a question how fast they can convert everything.
Personally I can't wait to see Pepsi products there. I'm pretty sure we will to because it doesn't take all that long to switch the pop machines and fountains over. Heck the fountains just really need new signs on them. I'm sure they could pull it off in 2-3 days tops to have the whole park converted to Pepsi. Plus like Jeff said, the contract is likely a corporate thing with Six Flags, as Pepsi is probably a corporate things with Cedar Fair.

The big minus in the sale of the park is the switch from Coke to Pepsi.

You don't like RUM and PEPSI Pete?;)

Does this mean we'll also see the free water come to GL too? I was there last year and it was like $3 for a bottle of water! Made me wish i would have stopped driving about an hour earlier.
And what about the food stands, specifically Pizza Hut Express and Subway which are located in the park. Are these likely to be gone as well. Not many parks have a (limited menu) national fast food chain located within their gates.
I cant recall off the top of my head but i think i saw a subway at dorney park last summer. Pizza hut is different too because some of them serve coke and others serve pepsi so that might not be an issue.

If you can't stand whatever carbonated beverages an amusement park serves, bring a cooler and stash a decent supply of your own favorite brand in the back of your vehicle. It's cheaper anyway.

I say Pepsi. Did you ever notice though that pepsi goes flat so much faster than coke after its opened.......
