Teaser Wallpaper on Extra Point!

They ARE really hyping this ride. And it has nothing to do with the numerous threads on here, but how they're going about doing things in a secretive manner. Stop being a nay-sayer & spitting on everyone's posts.

Show me this "hype".

I kind of don't like the wallpaper. They should make it a little more mysterious. Like, instead of showing that turn that we all know it there, they should have like a close up of the train...so you can't tell what it is. Something to make us thiunk and squirm.

I doubt the trains are even here at this point. That's usually one of the last things to arrive.

I guess if I actualy clicked on one of the pictures I would have seen it was track. All I looked at the first time was the thumbnail.

True, but the trains have already been designed and near lifelike CG models could be used, and we'd be none the wiser.

True. Especally with how good movie CGI SFX are these days. Heck, the probably already have the coaster animation completed.

Exactly djDaemon. I wasn't saying the trains were at the park yet, but they're out there somewhere and there must be some sort os design drawing or animation getting ready.

I dont see where you guys are getting that it is going to be announced on September 7th from, its not on rcdb, it doesnt make sense to me.

It WAS on rcdb yesterday, it just got deleted again a couple of hours later.

How are they being secretive? They've admitted that there is construction. Its not unusual in the amusement business to wait until after a season is over to announce what next years attraction is going to be. They aren't outside the norm on this.

That doesn't mean anything, in my opinion. I make mistakes at work occassionally, and I'd think that we shouldn't hold the RCDB manager(s) to a higher degree of scrutiny than is appropriate.

But its a conspiracy man. Jeff and DK flew up there in their black helicopters and put him in his place. They told him he'd sleep with the carp if he didn't take it down. They are trying to cover this whole thing up. Why do you think there was a blue tarp huh? They didn't want us to see anything. In fact the webcam is just a computer simulation to make us THINK they're dismantling the hill. In reality they're dismantling TTD. Notice how the main midway cam doesn't work either? Its all a conspiracy.

Oh, man! I think you're on to something there, John. I just KNEW there was something much bigger going on here, what with all the hype they've been stirring up.

Well they have to admit there's construction- being that it's the most obvious thing happening! But I'm talking about them not saying what the name is (because it's been brought up numerous times that Cedar Fair LP owns the name Maverick & it doesn't necessarily have to be for this ride), what kind of coaster it is & just plain teasing about it.

Was it this much discussion about the Millennium Force, Wicked Twister & TTD? Were they the same with those rides?

Its been brought up by whom? People on this site? That is not the park creating hype, that is kids with no school and apparently crappy weather outside. The park hasn't teased anything. They put up a webcam of the construction, and provided a nice resolution wallpaper. Far from teasing.

Millennium was announced at the end of July, Wicked Twister in November and TTD in January. The "hype" around each coaster has gotten progressively "worse" as more and more people get online and discover this site.

^Wow....Yes it was a joke, at least the part about Jeff having a black helicopter was. He doesn't own one, he just borrows mine from time to time.

Oh, and Jugga, don´t forget the teaser signs put up around the construction site. But apart from that, I agree that it´s the cp "fans" that are causing (and noticing) the so-called hype. I´m a little hyped myself ;)

Even the signs aren't much. Just the park using a little creativity to say "excuse our dust".
