Teaser Wallpaper on Extra Point!

If Cedar Point only had the coasters, you wouldn't see the families coming either. Its not one or the other. Its the combination of them all. That's why you see CP investing heavily in resorts, coasters AND other rides/attractions. Even the landscaping and cleanliness of the park plays a huge role in the draw.

Actually, I said everyone I know. I didn't say everyone....

I just wanted to clarify that when I was quoting/ responding to CoasterNut06.

"THE Top Thrill Dragster...THE Millennium Force...THE Wicked Twister...THE Magnum! How do you like those apples?!?!?"

Regardless, when you say "everyone I know" you are making a generalization. Everyone you know can't be that much different from everyone else, now can they?

Cedar Point is no different from most other amusement parks when you say that the roller coasters are the highlight of the park. Also think about this, before it was America's Roller Coast, it was the Amazement Park, and before that it was Queen of American Watering Places.

Hail to the Victors

Good grief.

Well said. ;)

Different people can find different things to appreciate at CP. There is something for everyone, and not everyone likes coasters.

I cant believe there are still people who wish CP had 100 coasters and nothing else. And i mean nothing no scenery, food or other rides.

Well said dj im an example i personally dont enjoy coasters but CP is still enjoyable in many other ways.

Your main argument is based on the fact that people can see the construction? What would you suggest CP do? Cover the entire site in a giant circus tent?

Then, you could have Stephen Colbert standing outside doing this:

Now that I would like to see for the laugh factor!!

I'm just amazed that you guys know everyone I personally know who goes to Cedar Point. One of my friends goes for the coasters, but he loves playing the games there, too.

Victimization seems to be a self-fulfilling prophecy.

Platinum has it's perks. So does living exactly 97.5 miles from King's Island and Cedar Point

...but here you go.

No victimization here. It's just that I can never get my point across clear enough. But I don't care anymore.

Look at things this way. Just because I don't like everything Meijer sells, that doesn't mean that I think they shouldn't carry them. If something brings people into the store and thus makes them money, by all means, I don't mind it one bit.

The same can be said for Cedar Point. Okay, maybe I don't like every single ride that they have. I don't particularly like arcades and such, but I don't speak with disgust against them. If I want to ride on the coasters, I do. If I wanna go on something like SRF, MaxAir, or Skyhawk, I do. I don't dis things because I do not like them. It's just not right...

Or so this is the way I look at things. Hey, who knows, maybe I'll have sparked something with this. Yeah, get a life, I know :)
