I should know this but whule Shores is not open in May, would I be able to park there? I figure yes cause I know it could be done in HalloWeekend.
I was wondering if the CP Shores lot will be open for opening weekend. I feel like a lot of the GP doesn't know to park back there to beat the crowd at the front entrance.

The point I keep bringing up is it may be closer but not necessarily faster. MS Last Rites back there was a disaster with Security really holding up the line and took us at least a half hour to get through. If they let people through and barricade them before 9 then it should be faster but if they don’t and don’t have sufficient security it could be worse than the front unless you are there really early.
I figure they are keeping it closed for consistency with the rest of the season. That still leaves the new boardwalk to get back there and is probably not a ton farther to Steel Vengeance than walking through the park. I am not going for ERT until the end of May so we should have some reports by then. But if I were to try before then my play would be to get to the resort gate no later than 8:30 and if I couldn’t tough it out at the main gate. Then then question becomes Dragster Midway or Frontier Trail?
I talked to an employee at the Hoedown who contacted Guest Services; I have confirmation that they plan to have the Boardwalk open on Opening Day. I plan to arrive around 8:15, walk down the Boardwalk to the Resort Entrance, and pray I don't get trampled by the "running of the bulls". That being said, if the Main Gate is the only option, I would do Frontier Trail to avoid said running crowds, otherwise Dragster Midway if you want to attempt to join them. Honestly, I've never been on Opening Day before, so I have no idea how bad it is when a new coaster opens.
With that in mind, I wonder how many people think of SV as the park's new Rougarou compared to those who treat it like a new, ground-up roller coaster. Not saying this will make lines any more tolerable, especially once it becomes a fan favorite among coasters in the park, but it's an interesting way of thinking.
So cool. :D Do you think, if the trio is received well (which it certainly seems like that they are), we'll be seeing other characters from Battle For Cedar Point showing up around the park, like white and black knights around Gatekeeper and Valravn respectively, Mad Max style racers around Dragster, and aliens around Millennium? That would be pretty sweet.

My Mom used to say, "If you don't stop making that face, it's going to freeze that way."
If "Digger" does not stop that pose, he's going to freeze that way. :D (Either way, it's gong to be a long LONG season unless he mixes it up a bit.)
(Is "Blackjack"s beard real?... or makeup?)
