S&S Power

If you find the home page for S & S Power they merged in the late 90's with Arrow Dynamics. this really amkes things interesting. Could it be a screaming swing or a new woodie?? Interesting.

Did anyone know by S&S Power that Power Tower is a rollercoaster?? Click the link, then click on S&S and it shows that PT is a typer of rollercoaster.

Wow this post makes no sense.

Arrow went bankrupt and S&S bought them out if I remember correctly.

That business deal of years ago has nothing to do with the ride(s) coming to CP, although I am hoping that they have some interesting ideas lined up down the road.

Its just a webpage about structures built by different companies, not just rollercoasters. Power Tower is a structure built by S&S.

S&S bought Arrow in late 2002...

And there's nothing interesting about your post. It's a swing. Look at the part. There's nothing left to guess. It's the same thing under that tarp that is pictured in the Valleyfair images of their swing.

Here is an interesting article about S&S from fortune magazine:

http://www.fortune.com/fortune/smallbusiness/marketing/articles/0,15114,643701,00.html

What I find most interesting is the last few paragraphs which talk about S&S developments:

"S&S has developed a new drag-race attraction called G-Force, which lets drivers accelerate from zero to 100 miles per hour in less than two seconds. It has also introduced the SkySwatter, which uses air thrust to lift riders 65 feet before sending them head over heels while strapped to a giant fly swatter.

Checketts is trying his hand at some nonthrust rides too. The Screaming Squirrel flips riders under the track and keeps them upside down for much of the ride. At $2 million apiece, these rides can be marketed to parks in the U.S. and abroad that can't afford a $10 million ueber-coaster. Not that riders will notice the savings. As long as Checketts does his job well, they will be scared senseless all the same."

Jeff, where can I see "the Valleyfair images" as stated in your post?

The S&S Power Label at CP is addressed to VF underneath. Anyone know why that would be?

Which label are you talking about?

With all of this speculation about the Extreme Swing I highly doubt that this wood is going to be used for a new wooden coaster. I personaly believe that this wood will be used for routine replacement of wood in the structure of Mean Streak.

...or CCMR, more likely, based on the color.

And, no, not likely for a new woodie, since we have yet to see any footers... anywhere.

I'm curious as to whether there are SS parts sitting in the VF parking lot. It doesn't make any sense what-so-ever, but maybe they got sent to CP for storage because they have more room before getting sent up to VF for installation.
I mean it's a really far-fetched idea that even I don't understand, but maybe its possible.

I hope I don't get in trouble for posting this link but this is the only good pic of this I know of.

Click on the first of the 3 pics. You can see "Valleyfair" over the bar code and "Shakopee" under it.

If it was wood for the mean streak they would have put it under the mean streak, you would think. Gemini has tons of wood stored under it.

Thsi wood is probably for a coaster of some kind in the future. Why would they remove WWL otherwise?

That is a lo of room to just leave bare.
