Son Of Beast to be removed.

LOL I just love for my words to be twisted in order to make someone feel like the victim.

All I'm saying is don't judge a ride when you know its had some extensive work done to it since you last rode it. The End "O Holy One" :)

Okay, you guys. I think we could do with a little less rancor.

And if what you say is true about the trims being taken off then fine, I retract my statement. But it still doesn't help that it's the most boring wooden coaster I've ever been on. It packs absolutely zero punch whatsoever. And again, they're barely airtime hills. You float over them, and no, I've never felt this sensation called "slamming" into the final brake run. That's just your hyperbole and nonsensical love for a ride that barely deserves to be called a top roller coaster at one of the top amusement parks in the world. Seriously, you find every single one of your rides on that thing enjoyable?

If you haven't ridden it since 2010 then how can you make any statements? If trims are off, it'll be traveling faster anyway (so your brake statement can be retracted as well)

This year it's a lot smoother, and you know what, I did happen to experience some airtime on it. And we did slam into the brakes at a good speed, so fast that we got jolted forward. I don't even love the ride so this isn't a hyperbole for me. It used to jolt me around and I didn't like it, but I decided I'd give it a shot a few days ago and I'm glad I did. I'll learn to like it again I'm sure, even though it had beaten me up in the past. However, the line was almost a half an hour at the time I rode it and it didn't even open until 11. A lot of people had made it towards the back of the park and were upset to find out it didn't open until then. The coaster might be making a small comeback in ridership.

P.S. Not much crawling through the turns anymore either.

^ And I thank you Coasterkid20. Finally, somebody who has some input on the ride who has actually ridden it this year.

As for Son of Beast, is there an exact date set for demolition yet? Or is it still "at the end of the summer". I wonder if Flight Deck will be closed while they remove the portion of SOB that comes close to Flight Deck's swooping turn. They might just wait until the off season to do that portion. I'm excited to see what's gonna go there.

I don't really expect them to announce a date. KI will probably just start demolition quietly. With a big wrecking ball of course.

I believe Adventure Express comes pretty close to SOB too so that ride may have to close if they are tearing down that section of SOB

Or they might simply save that portion of SOB until after the regular season ends, which is only a month away.

I just hope they don't park a truck under Flight Deck again.

Ah, the infamous convertitruck...

They said they are taking it down the same way it went up; piece by piece.

As long as you don't breathe in the smoke it's all good.

^ There would have to be a heck of a lot of those smoke bombs around the whole structure for the whole thing to come down at once. Probably would have to do it in sections to avoid hitting the other rides such as Flight Deck and Adventure Express.
