Statement from Cedar Point:
At approximately 5 p.m., a guest entered a restricted, fenced area of the Raptor roller coaster and was struck by the ride. Park safety officials responded immediately to the situation. Unfortunately the guest has passed away. Local authorities are on the scene conducting an investigation.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family at this time.
They're marked as restricted areas for a reason. This has happened a few times at other parks in the U.S and there's probably nothing the ride operators could have done. Hopefully no one else was injured on the train that made contact with the guest in the restricted area. Probably wanted to retrieve a hat or phone or something. Tragic, but completely avoidable if basic rules are followed.

Sorry don't feel bad. Fences and signs are there for a reason. Don't be a jack ass. Follow the rules. They are there for a reason. Now you make the best park in the world look bad because of one dumb idiot.
Sorry my opinion. No cedar points fault. Media will blow this out of proportion now because of one schmuck who probably had his phone out and dropped it and tried to get it back.

That's an awful thing to say! Sure, he may have not made the right decision but when someone's life has been taken I think you need to keep the comments to yourself.
