RUGRATS runnin' around The Point?

Like spongebob and Patrick aren't annoying! At least all Snoopy does is dance ,fly imaginary planes, and mentor yellow ,fuzzy headed birds.

Best of all, Snoopy doesn't talk. That's a good thing if you've ever watched Spongebob.

lol

But if you think about it, Snoopy typed on the typewriter...so he kind of talked......just not verbally.:)

Snoopy has already established his footing on CP property.

Gomez - Agreed. Regardless of your opinion of Nick vs. Snoopy, Snoopy's already here. The amount of rebuilding and retheming that would have to go on is almost cost-prohibitive. They'd have to tear down a large number of signs (one of the biggest of which Gomez linked to) and have them all rebuilt from scratch, most likely. All the brochures would have to be removed and reprinted. Camp Snoopy (and all the rides inside: Woodstock Express, Peanuts 500, Snoopy Bounce, etc), Snoopy Boutique, Joe Cool's Corner Store, Peanuts Playground, Beagle Bay Outfitters, all would have to be gutted and rebuilt from the ground up, either with new Nick theming or general CP stuff. All the current Peanuts merchandise would have to be bargain-basemented out to make room for Nick merchandise.

Granted, I'm staunchly in the "Keep Snoopy" camp, but regardless I just don't see them doing this. It'd just be too much of a change to take Peanuts out of CP now.

Edit: My other issue with this is: How much retheming are you willing to do when the fads change? Snoopy has staying power, he'll be popular forever (at least if people like my mother have anything to say about it). He's been around for over 50 years and is still going. How many Nick cartoons from even ten years ago are still around and popular today? If you put Spongebob on the big sign out front, come five years from now when Spongebob dies out and something else becomes the Nick fad, you have to replace it or be seen as hopelessly out of date. Snoopy's a classic, dated Nick fads are just old. (Not to mention that we all know how gung-ho CP is about spot-on, amazing theming... *rolls eyes*)

2006 CP Visits: Lost count...
Next visit: May 13th...?

Well put. Long live the Beagle!!

(p.s.: I want more Vince Guaraldi Trio music & B'way revival "You're A Good Man Charlie Brown" playing in the Peanuts areas. Damn copyrights and licensing!!)

Don't forget that if they eventually got rid of the Nickelodeon license, two huge Nickelodeon universes would need to be completely revamped. That would be as costly, if not more than taking away the snoopy theming.

Anyone remember Rugrats? I loved it, my friends loved it, and people three years younger than me only know what Rugrats: All Grown Up is. At the age 11 my love for Nickelodeon curled up and died.
I kind of just said what everyone else has been saying the whole time.

As for little kids coming, in my opinion it only matters if they can relate to them. Charlie Brown is on at least three times a year...that's how I knew it. Then Cedar Point turned me into a Snoopy fan.

(I still like Garfield better)

Summer was made for a Cedar Point day~
