Peanuts are outdated and need to be changed. If you ask most kids today who Charlie Brown is they will say that dumb kid in the hat. Nick is the big draw and would be a huge benefit to the parks. I vote Nick.
Kids don't know who Snoopy is?
How do kids know who Bugs Bunny is (SF characters)? I don't remember seeing Loony Toons on TV any more.
I think the Nick characters should stay at the parks they're already in and keep Peanuts in the parks they're already in. The Snoop Dog :) brings some charm to the park that Spongebob won't.

Being 15 I really have no idea of who Snoopy is other than there's some specials about him on during the holidays.

Guess Loonatics Unleashed doesn't count then huh? It's not the classic Looney Toons, but that's how they've stayed relevant, by changing to fit what kids want. When I was a kid (grade/middle school) there was Tiny Toon Adventures. I still know a lot of the classic cartoons as well, but there was something that fit with my generation (and I'm not really that old). I loved the TTA, but my favorites are still the old WWII Looney Tunes.

Bring back Bearenstien Bears...Please, I miss them. :) Who can remember going into their treehouse and playing aound? I can. The house has now been turned into a slide :(
Heck Yeah, I totally remember that lol, well i remember only parts, I haven't walked by that part of CP for a long time i don't think. I'd really rather have no characters though, Peanut characters nor Nick characters. I understand that it brings in the younger audiences (2-6 year olds), but still, I just don't like 'em, they're annoying. If I was CP, I would want to be known rather for roller coasters and rides instead of some actors dressed up in Snoopy and Charlie Brown outfits (Sorry to those who still believe that they're real but you'd have to know the truth sooner or later), I don't think they're that important since 2-6 year olds don't really ride that many rides, they're not a big source of money for the park, but it isn't hurting the older audiences so i guess you could keep 'em, but still I don't enjoy the characters that much, lol.

Snoopy does seem to have a little more "staying Power."
However, when I went to King's Island a few years ago I was really impressed by their children's area.
It's just kind of funny that someone brought up the notion of kids not knowing who the Looney Toons characters are. I teach second grade at a school near Cedar Point. Most of my students have been there many times and of course, know who Snoopy is. I wonder if they would know if they didn't have access to Camp Snnopy. They talk a lot about SpongeBob and other Nick characters. The funny thing is, I put Looney Toons stickers on some papers today and actually had a boy ask me who was on the sticker.

Yeah, but the parents of those 2-6 years olds, and the families attached to that ARE a big source of money for the park. The family that spends 2-3 days at the park is going to think about going elsewhere if there isn't stuff for their young one. Why would they go somewhere that doesn't have something for everyone in the family?
Sure teens spend money in the park, but it is nowhere close to what those with families and or true discretionary income spend in the park.

We're tiny, we're toony, we're all a little looney,
And in this cartoony, we're invading your TV!
We're comic dispensers, we crack up all the censors,
On tiny toon adventures get a dose of comedy!
So here's Acme Acres, it's a whole wide world apart,
Our home sweet home, it stands alone, a cartoon work of art!
The scripts were rejected, expect the unexpected
On tiny toon adventures it's about to start!
They're furry, they're funny, they're Babs and Buster Bunny,
Montana Max has money, Elmyra is a pain!
Here's Hamton and Plucky, Dizzy Devil's yucky,
Furrball's unlucky, and Gogo is insane!
At Acme Looniversity we earn our toon degree,
The teaching staff's been getting laughs since 1933!
We're tiny, we're toony, we're all a little looney,
It's tiny toon adventures, come and join the fun! And now our song is done!
I love that song like nothing else in that world. ;)
The only one better is Animaniacs, which is coming out on DVD at the end of July.
Goodbye MrScott

I'd hate to see the peanuts gang go. I love walking by gemini and hearing the theme playing in Camp snoopy.

As much as SOME of the Nick's are ok (Avatar on occassions just because of the cool fighting and "bending" choreography), I would much rather prefer Snoopy. He was everything when I was young and is and will always be a classic.

Snoopy has taken hold in CP, and while it wouldn't suprise me if they changed; I would hope they don't. But if they insist in bringing in the Nick cartoons, why not let the two coexist? CP is plenty big enough for both to be good neighbors.
GLP on the other hand makes perfect sense to me. It would be a way for the GLP to make an identity for itself. What better way to follow up the waterpark construction with an expanded Nick kids area streaching all the way to the ballroom along the lake.
Good grief and Aaaaaugh!!!
For the love of God and everything that is holy,...I think we all agree with a resounding "KEEP SNOOPY!!". We love our beagle and his anxiety ridden friends. :)
As far as Berenstain Bears, I was "Papa Bear" for 2 summers ('96/'97) and it was a mind numbing, sweaty good time. I had a blast!! And yes..I remember the Bear Family House and the Spooky 'Ole Tree. I "do" think that CP has done a fair job with Peanuts theming, but being a perfectionist...there is always room for improvement and more theming, especially in queue lines, music, landscaping, etc. Can't they have a X-mas tree farm with pathetic looking trees or something a tad more thrilling in the indoor Great Pumpkin patch? I'm rambling, so I'll just say "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown!".
As far as Canada's Wonderland, I'm not sure if they've continued with Hanna Barbera Land. I know that Paramount Kings Island broke ties with the animation company when Paramount took over. Hanna Barbera was always my favorite part of the park too!! The only way you can re-visit Quick Draw McGraw, Snagglepuss, Captain Caveman, Huckleberry Hound, etc. is through the cable channel...Boomerang.

I agree. If Snoopy remains the "spokesbeagle" and top draw, there's no reason they couldn't go with Nickelodeon "on the side" in attractions here or there. I do think, though, it would be a mistake to have Nickelodeon take over Snoopy's top spot.
Yes, I agree that Snoopy should remain the "spokesbeagle". If the do want to bring Nickelodeon to CP, Snoopy's Playground would be the ideal location to redevelop and re-theme to the Nickelodeon cartoons.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
