Thank you, thank you.. Inside jokes are always the best ones :D
The Paddlewheel "test rides" in the AM were great, the park was so quiet and peaceful i loved driving the boats early in the AM, it really cleared my mind of everything and after awhile you could start to hear Mantis and TTD running test runs as they howled in the wind at first it kinda of scared me but after awhile though i got used to it.
Not to mention when im on boats by myself i sometimes like to sing my heart out!! its great, i loved it when i would be singing out a song and i would come around the corner by CMOE Dee's & by the break area and i would see someone just stareing at me. A few times i got some applause from random employees, it was sweet :)

Was it actually Twisted Sisters or Twisted Twins when you worked it?
I was there for Amanda Millers rde on Dragster, you could hear her screaming from the top of the tower, haha.
But I worked Magnum, Dragster and MaXair on Bonus Fridays and I usually got a test ride in the mornings. On Maggie usually the person that did the track walk and the person that did the tunnel walk got a test ride and then someone else rode. On Dragster it was whoever got there for transfers would write their name on the white board and whoever got there first after that. On MaXair if the bitch would start on time we'd all ride but if not we'd do just one.

All the employees in the back of the park- (zone 3, i think) used to have to report to Gemini 1st thing in the morning to test ride. I think they use sandbags now- back then we had to test run EACH SIDE at least 6 times sometimes more. Hands down in the "safe-rider" position, of course. In the cold, rainy morning there were times I didn't think we would make it around the track. And God forbid if you were sitting over an axle on the 1st drop- ouch. Then I would report to Mine Ride and test ride that. But the Snake-River Falls girls had the worst test ride in my opinion.

I always had the problem of keeping my arms down when I test rode. :)
I feel sorry for people who don't drink. When they wake up in the morning, that's as good as they're going to feel all day.
Just curious... When you're test riding a coaster, what are you looking/listening for? Has anybody ever noticed anything while test riding and have a story to share?
I'm guessing you can't go into detail.

when you test ride its just that a test for the ride the ride host is listening for any thing out of the norm or feeling things out of the norm. what better for a crew member thats works the ride that should know how it works and feels to do ride test. I personaly had over 60 test rides on Rator last year yea at first I did not know what to look for or to listen for but you get to know your ride and what to expect.

The rides grow on you. Even when working entrance, you know how every second of the ride sounds and can usually pick out of there's any problems. With how reliable the ride is, however, the test ride ends up being a good way to start off the day.
I remember this one day we had to do a mid-day test ride after a storm to make sure she was running fine, and I got to dispatch, and I remember looking down to a nearly full queue line (people LIKE to wait?), a good chunk noticed the rider and watched...
That was kind of off-topic, but it was fun. After so many rides you just know what to expect.
