I just hope the MCBR doesn't kill too much speed…but NTG seems to blaze right through its MCBR, so I'm not too worried.
It's a little hard to see but it looks like more of a turn before the drop outta there than there used to be. And the turn looks slightly banked. I'm hoping for some laterals then a good yank down the hill.
Please god, let this ride be built for sustained speed. Wait, how about increasing speed? Amen.
Hopefully it gets announced before leaked memo season comes along and we find out what it is anyways.

I'm not sure I even understand this comment. Unless something crazy happens like another coaster being built on top of it, or a mid course launch we already know basically everything about this thing. You see where the track is going, you know there will probably 2 more inversions inside the structure. It is following the same path. We basically know how tall, about 215 feet. We know it about a 90 degree drop. What else is there to know expect seeing the POV. I enjoy seeing the progress, but really don't we all know what this is outside of the name.

It's interesting to note how the train handles the speed through the course in the video below. It looks like a very legit recreation of what we know so far (minus the true height of the lift). Now, I know that this shouldn't be used as an accurate reference since it's a computer simulation and there are a lot of factors to consider. But if it's anything close to this video, it should have some great speed through out the course.

Is it just me, or does that MCBR seem a bit long for a standard RMC train? What if they did a show building (a-la Mystic Timbers) on the MCBR to time it up with the train coming down the first drop?
I was thinking it would be cool to have a semi-enclosed structure down the entire length of the MCBR. Similar to a covered bridge with open sides.
New to the page but a follower since day 1! Just a thought on the name, anyone throw out Prospectors? In 'the Axe' video to announce MS closing, Tony played the part of one taking shots at the supports. Kind of a metaphor? With CP's marketing strategy this doesn't seem far fetched. Wild and unruly, rolling in like thunder, they're coming... most likely plays off the plural name someway. A good source also through out 'Renegades' to play off Maverick as well.
Was checking the progress out while I was at the park last week. This thing is going to me INSANE!. the pictures on line don't do what is done so far any kind of justice. Kind of bummed since I am not sure when I will be able to make it back to the park to ride it once its open. That first drop is 100% going to be straight down. Three things that I took note of and found interesting.
1- The American flag at the top of the top hat. yes, usually the flag goes on the highest point of the ride, but maybe its placed where it is because that is the highest point of the ride this year (2017) and we wont see the lift hill topped out until we get into 2018.
2- kind of surprised they have the lights on at night lighting up the ride. I would think they would keep it dark.
3- I like how they have that area on the park map shown as a construction zone lol
I think the flag is the max height of the original Mean Streak. The new second hill is a bit taller than the original first hill.
I think that the construction crew just knew that the second hill would be the tallest point on the ride for quite a while, so they put the flag there. I don't think that it has any hidden special meaning.
I love that name. It's so badass.
CP Top 5: 1) Steel Vengeance 2) Maverick 3) Magnum 4) Raptor 5) Millennium
yea same here. I like it.
was hoping for renegade, or stampede.
So is "Railblazer" plural (They're coming). I guess it doesn't need to be a hint at the name. could be for themed trains (like Maverick)
Could Railblazer be the name of RMC Hurler? Also, doesn't CF have a history of misleading people about names (Centurion/Fury 325, The Bat/Banshee)?

interesting point, "their" can refer to the 'trains" like Bret, Bart, Sam and so on
with the trademark specifically calling out beach items I would guess it is for Cedar Point. Does anyone know if the beach souvenir trademark is generic and used for all parks?
I would think al of the cedar fair parks would include beach items...they all have water rides/water parks...
