yea same here. I like it.

was hoping for renegade, or stampede.

So is "Railblazer" plural (They're coming). I guess it doesn't need to be a hint at the name. could be for themed trains (like Maverick)

Or the multiple RMC's coming to the Cedar Fair chain this year and most likely in the years to come.

Yes, but the timeline for a raptor track ride at Knott's doesn't seem right if they're just now testing a back yard prototype. And the seats look funky, like they're not what the final product will be. I may be wrong, but the design process etc might take longer than that. I'd think a two year timeline at the least.

Btw, Railblazer (or Rail Blazer?) was the name of the failed Arrow standup at Six Flags St Louis, which may have been the first standup coaster ever. They retrofit one sign of the mine train with these odd coffin-like cars. They had horse collar restraints and a weird shin thing. One evening in 1984 a short 260 lb lady from Indy fell out, was fatally injured, and that spelled the end of that. Restraints were re-designed but things were never the same and it was finally removed.

It's a fine name, I guess, but for that reason I'm not a fan of it.

I'm really thinking that most people will never make that connection.

Railblazer...sorry I don't like it. There are better names out there.

Like?

um like Horsy Ride

Or Numbermuncher

Whip-o-lash

Common, this is easy

How do we know this is even going to be for Mean Streak and not another 2018 project (i.e. Hurler)? Or if it will even be used at all?

We don't. It's just conjecture.

That's why we need to bash it NOW. So they....ya know.......don't use it. ;P

I like Railblazer. As long as they create a great logo I'll be fine with anything. Cedar Fair excels at creating great logos so I'm not worried.

I like the name Railblazer (and learned a little history about roller coasters due it that I had not known before, so thank you RCMAC).

I'm not sold that it's for Cedar Point with all the other projects going on, though, as it doesn't sound all that western to me.

I do agree that the plural innuendo could be targeted at the trains and not just the name of the ride, but nothing about the name "Railblazer" makes me think of anything that would have to do with a Frontier Town theme. I would think that for this ride, which will literally become the marquee Frontier attraction, they would really exaggerate the western motif in every way possible.

It's actually a cool name for a roller coaster, all history aside, but I would hope for something with a bit more country to it.

I like the name Railblazer, but it doesn't seem to fit quite right with the teasers given so far.

trail·blaz·er

a person who makes a new track through wild country.

It kind of sounds Western/Frontier to me if you look at the real word's definition. I don't think this is the name though.

Trailblazer

I thought of that, and I get it, but you just made my point. It only "kinda" sounds Western/Frontier. This ride will be the epicenter of Frontier Town for years to come. Sorry, Maverick.

Who doesn't get this? If indeed they're using Railblazer, then it would refer to a train. A really fast one that blazes along the rails. Hey, kind of like a coaster does! Maybe it's being chased by outlaws. And it's back there behind CP&LERR, so there's your theme. The trains could have neat locomotive fronts and flame decals on the sides. Or hey! Lightning bolts! What a tip of the cowboy hat that would be, huh?

Maybe I'm getting to like this name after all.

riiight. my god i signed up to say just that.... a runaway train haha

Isn't Maverick already a runaway train?

doesnt mavericks logo have a horse ?.. not that theres anything wrong with that.....

I suppose, except a Maverick is a rogue calf, so...
And ok. That little section of Frontier Town can be called Trainville. Three train rides, folks. From mild to wild to really, really insanely big and scary.
