You guys are probably right about adding the coaster to frontier town. It might be difficult to puit a modern steely in there without disrupting the ambiance of the area.

That topics already been discussed and discarded. Cedar Point will not remove a ride to replace it for two reasons: 1 they wouldn't gain any ground on the "More coasters than anywhere else" 2: CCMR is a good family coaster, its not super tall or super fast, but it makes a great beginner coaster, especially for little kids wanting to make the jump from WE or JG to the "Big Kid" coasters.
Why must Cedar Point absolutely have "More coasters than anywhere else"? Seriously, people care about quality, not quanity. Instead of leveling the remaining shade trees in the park, it would make more sense to remove some of the less interesting coasters to make room for newer, better ones.
I do agree that they should leave CCMR alone for the reason you gave as well the fact that it matches the ambiance of the area. My canidates for removal would include Iron Dragon, Corkscrew, Disaster Transport, and Wildcat.

What if you added a good size GCI coaster in that area, not too small, not too high but maybe higher than CCMR about 100 feet tall. I think that would be cool.
I would love this, but I seriously doubt that it would happen anytime soon. I just don't believe that Cedar Point bigwigs would want a smaller wooden coaster than the one they already have. Everything has to be bigger, longer, or faster with these guys (except the family or kiddie coasters).
CP has shown that they can do simple theming, and I mean truely simple i.e. no maintance. So, add some more fake supports onto DD to give it a more beefy mine shaft look, paint it brownish or rust color, and throw up an old shake somewhere and you have the ride.
That's just my opinion though

Actually, we care about quality, but the GP cares about quantity. You get more guests if you say, "we've got more coasters than anywhere in the world!", than if say, "They may have more, but our's are better!".
A perfect example of this is Holiday World in Santa Clause, Indiana. They have two pretty damn good coaster's, so I come back there every year. I come back because I'm an enthusiast, people who don't know much about coaster will probably not bother going there at all.
I also agree that CCMR will be left alone, it compliments Frontier Town greatly, but I couldn't see Cedar Point removing ID, Corkscrew or Wildcat. ID, and Wildcat just got new paint jobs in the last 2 years. If they were going to anything with them anytime soon, they wouldn't have done that. For Corkscrew, it is a classic at Cedar Point and I couldn't see the park without it. No way will they remove that one for a long time. Cedar Point has pretty much let DT detieorate, so that has me thinking that it's time might be ending pretty soon (I pray not :(). But if a ride is being improved, like ID and Wildcat, it must be staying for a little longer.

Smoking Marijuana isn't a bad thing or even a good one, like everything else, its what you make of it.

Demon Drop could be relocated just about anywhere. With a small footprint it could be moved anywhere in the park and still be popular.
Removing WWL is not an option, maybe reconfiguring. Its a family ride that isnt too splash oriented, a ride that grandma and the grandkids can ride together. It needs to stay.
Now, why not remove Disaster Transport? The theme-ing has been less than spectacular for about a decade. I personally like the ride, but the theme-ing has gone down the drain.
There had been talk in the past about absorbing space from the parking lot to expand the park with a 'boardwalk theme'. So let's say the boardwalk theme isn't used.
Its very feasible to build a coaster in the front of the park.
I don't think its a matter of lack of space within CP, its more a matter of rearranging some oddly placed rides to accomodate newer coasters and attractions. :)

Lets not make this a compact park now... :)
