Ride Info That Has Been Leaked Out

The site I help maintain (which will remain nameless, for fear of breaking the rules) has a policy against spam and other advertising posts, yet, we do not censor others when they mention another website. Sure, if someone starts a thread about a site irrelevent to the discussion, saying: "Hey, check out my site at www.clickhere.com/subdomain/index.html" we kindly tell them that advertising is frowned upon and close the thread. However, if they say "Hey check out the pics at this site." or "There's a great discussion about this at this site." we don't chastise them and censor their post. And while, you have every right to determine what is and is not posted on this webspace, especially when you are the one who pays for it, I must say that such a policy seems a bit extreme.

BTW, CoastaPlaya, I have added to the discussion in other ways, however, it seems your despisement of lesser members is greater than you think. You seem to have a very unwelcoming attitude when it comes to those you are unfamiliar with. And while, humor is always great, and this thread alone is not why I determined the site appeared cliquish, many things you say, even in jest, are things you truly seem to feel. Saying them with a wink and a nod doesn't always mean they aren't as harmful.

Was that the 'good stuff'? Wow.

Is there anyone who doesn't see what I mean?

What does this have to do with the new ride? If you have something to say about the way the site is run, it's best to e-mail Jeff directly at jeff@popw.com.
