Record-breaking Siren’s Curse tilt coaster to lure Cedar Point thrill seekers in 2025

They probably want to have perimeter road, the midway, the fencing, etc done before opening day. Wonder if the ride itself will be finished by then and they'll just need time for testing, or if everyone will get to watch the end of the construction.

They usually don't open the shores lot right away. Wonder if they'll prevent people from driving past just to see the changes. I'm sure a lot of people will be disappointed if the updated restroom isn't available on day 1.

^I know at least one guy who would be upset. Or maybe he'd be glad to give even more bathroom humor to these forums.

I suspect they will want to have the SC area as tidy as they can have it by opening day, and doing final tweaks to controls, and maybe some small landscaping activities or something in the last month. I'd be surprised if they are still doing heavy construction come May 3rd.

I suspect Perimeter Rd will be ready to go by opening weekend as Lighthouse Point is scheduled to be open. It shouldn't be too hard to place asphalt and stripe the road in a short amount of time. As long as they have enough dry weather and the exterior fencing for the ride is up, it should be completed.

I will not be happy if the roller coaster count goes up, while the toilet count goes down on opening day. How many toilets does Magic Mountain have anyhow?

Sit tight fellas ;) Applebee's fills my belly daily.

Plague thats a good question I really wonder if Amusement Today can add a best toilets award. If you think about it that might be one of the most prestigious awards to win

Sandusky has already awarded the 2025 awards for best "bowls". Maybe CP can win next year.

that looks awesome. But now I kinda feel bad for everyone on piers 11-14 having to put up with the noise.

As someone on Pier 13 (well, a day boat), I'm less worried about the noise and more worried about the loss of parking for that section of the marina. We've been told that it's been "reconfigured," but the latest Cedar Point app update shows only 1 row in the lot. I suspect we'll be relegated to the Marina Overflow Lot, and I've heard the new "large" lot on the park side of the re-routed Perimeter Road is the new preferred parking lot.

Even more troublesome is the loss of Famous Dave's in the marina, and the lack of any replacement eatery in that spot (at least this year). Like many restaurants, Dave's was always hopping before the pandemic; but, in recent years, the park seemed to stop advertising it from within the park, and it was frequently empty. Yes, I know of (and enjoy) Bay Harbor--but that's not a frequent "hop over for a bite" place when in the park or at the marina.

First world problems I guess.

A new preferable location for preferred parking that has gate access to the center of the park as opposed to the front? I'll take it!

I doubt that lot right next to Siren's Curst across from the marina will be the "preferred" lot.

Ironically, the loss of Famous Dave's might somewhat help the marina parking situation because there won't be people parked in there for eating at Famous Dave's.

I think Famous Dave's was likely hurt by the increased better quality food options inside of the park and the pushing of meal plans. I always enjoyed it when I was paying on a per meal basis, but it wasn't worth it to me to spend extra out there when the options in the park had improved to the "good enough" status and was pre-paid.

I realize it's just an app art rendering, but is the HR building now gone from there as well?

I assume so.

Human Resources is now at the former recruiting center near the Commons dorms; the recruiting and training center is now at an old car dealership on Cleveland.

Count me in as someone else who will really miss Famous Dave's at the marina. It was always a nice option when the rain would hit and/or on those brutally hot days when the shaded seating areas at the in-park food locations just didn't cut it.
