Thanks for all the help everyone!
So basically, don't stress about the housing. Bring an A/C if I'm going to the dorms.
And does anyone have any complaints about their job? I have heard from a few people who do the rides that it is monotonous and boring. I also heard that you get paid better for doing other jobs.
Any suggestions in that area?

Dorms have AC, so no. GOLD AND CEDARS don't have ac. Rides is the best department around period. People who complain on their rides are the ones who don't care and are not having fun. You are operating multi-million dollar machines and making people's vacations a blast. I throughly enjoy my job and can't wait til may. With the pay, there is a base pay where EVERYONE besides maybe wait staff makes the same.

To Answer Riss, yeah you can get to the commons and take taxis everywhere if you dont have a car, it is just a little more quieter at Golds then commons. Not very many parties out there, since it is on point and is a little more watched since it is right next to corporate buildings.
DRS The dorms at commons are the smaller of the two with the AC and the lockers with anywhere from 2-3 roomates. You have bunk beds with a community bathroom. The apartments have 4-5 bedrooms, kitchen and AC in the living room. They have 2 bathrooms which you share between up to 16 people. Each room has 2-3 beds with no AC. Highly reccomend finding a roomate early and hope you can get into the 1500 buliding dorms, they are the nicest and cleanest.

If you have retail experience, merchandise is a great department to work for. There may also be office positions available, but those are very limited. I've worked it merchandise since 2006, and I really like it. The bigger shops are very busy, especially if it rains, so you always have something to keep you busy. The time passes faster too, and you won't be bored. In the larger shops, you get to do different things, such as ringing sales, or floor walking. Floor walking means, you restock the shelves, help out the cashiers if they need a price check for something a guest wants to buy, assist guests in finding what they're looking for, or checking in merchandise from the warehouse. Cashiers also check in new merchandise when they have no guests to ring up. General cleaning is also something all associates do, it's nothing hard, just cleaning windows, dusting, etc. keeping the merchandise displayed in a pleasing mannor, so that it's always fresh and new. changing displays when new merchandise comes in, like during the 4th of July, they theme the shops in a red, white and blue theme. Well, I hope this helps you inderstand a little bit more about how merchandise works.

Oh it's with everybody. But I basically took a similar view as you. I saw it as very comical, and for me, it gave me lots of good stories to tell when I got home. =)
You have soooo many stories to tell! Some should not be told though ;) lol
