Actually, in Canada, Depending on the time of year, it's either 20 Hour Day-Light, or 20 Hour Darkness due to being so close to the North-Pole...
I've also seen the Aurora Borealis a few times.

Hi there How is everone.I wanted to start out and tell ever one im new here and been reading all the post's,But were afraid to say any thing ,but here i go .I have notice that there are a lot of footers before it goes into the water that that have a bunch of poles sticking out of the water with a red cap on it. would any one know what these are for ...maybe electric or sumthing ...ok gotta go wont be bothering u guys agin later.Tommy
Someone pointed out a few weeks back how they are merely highly visible markers to help the construction equipment drivers see where the footers are located so that they stay away from them. No once wants to bend an anchor bolt or puncture a tire.

I've built an Igloo before, thye are very spacious...
Anyway, Why do some have 6 or 8 rebars? My bet is that the support is either not very big or forces are less or blah, blah, blah... I don't know.

There is a new construction post near the pond. We have a photo, but we can't link to it on here. Please let us know if you want us to send the link... it's a stake in the ground that reads "CP #7" with a pink ribbon at the top of it. Let us know if you want it.
Would it be near the Wave Swinger, across from the First Aid station, behind the beverage/popcorn wagon?

I'd say send it to Walt. He may be interested....if he is he'll post it.
"CP # 7" sounds a lot like a "control point" used for surveying. I have surveyed off and on for several years for some extra cash and we do that all the time. "CP1","CP2", "CP HOT", etc.
One of the latest groups of contruction pictures shows a surveyor with a total station set up on a control point just inside the plywood wall. The clincher would be if there is a nail, or a rebar or a hub and tack near the bottom of the stake.
