Platinum Pass Questions/Concerns

I see no reason to bring in last years pass either. I've never heard of this before. I figured I'd ask here just in case.

I can understand if you were renewing your pass and you keep the one from last year. What i don't understand is they want us to bring last years pass to renew you pass from last year, but they are giving us new cards and taking new pictures. Weird?

No, no, no. If you bought a renewal for $140/whatever the CP-only renewal was by November 2 or so, you need to bring in your '08 pass as proof of renewal else pay the difference. That's what I heard, anyway.

Otherwise you needn't bring your old pass.

I did not have to show my 2008 pass to get my 2009 pass at the $140 rate.

I don't get why they put up previews on the website and the actual pass looks way different. I always thought for some odd reason that they looked like the preview picture, but I was wrong!

Well, Ben, that's what I'd been informed. That's the only reason I see to bring yours in, to prove you had one to save the $20. Of course, they should be able to look you up in their system, but we've all heard the horror stories about CP + technology...

For some reason I remember reading or hearing somewhere that you needed to bring your 08 pass when you processed your 09 one. Had to do with the discount. I distinctly remember because I put my 08 pass in the envelope with my 09 voucher.
