I was at Kings Island a few weeks ago. It's a great park. Very clean, well organized, has a great water park and children's area. I like the rides although they're not as good as CP's; but what is. We rode Son of Beast twice. Good wooden coaster. Unfortunately, speed and wood don't always go together. Very bumpy and uncomfortable ride. They should have built it as a steel coaster; but wood always looks great. Very loud main lift. Anyone know why???? We went last year (the year it opened). A local was standing in line in front of us. He had been waiting all spring for it to open (PKI had been experiencing many problems with the opening). Apparently some of the support anchors were coming out of their moorings because of the high speed. This is my favorite: the test dummies were coming back with their heads missing.
Kinks worked out and it's riding fine.
I agree Millennium Man that Hypersonic XLC is way short...but I am sure that CP and S&S could come up with a design that is at least one minute or a minute and a half long ride. I am more concerned about the Point getting one in 2002, than I am about the design...

Well, it's official...PKI is getting a Tomb Raider based simulator. Here's the link in the story.
This means we need a bigger, taller, faster simulator than they have themed around a space voyage to Alaska. -------------- 2001 Force Laps-67.5 (being in a train and walking down an exit ramp has to count for something) 2001 Magnum Laps-159 6/11/01 Gemini Laps 100
I wouldn't assume it's a simulator. It might be like Indiana Jones @ Disneyland or an indoor roller coaster.
