PKI to get TA2K IN 2002? Change CP Plans?
I believe Stan Checketts (big man at S&S) has already hinted that TA2K's with expansive layouts are in store somewhere down the line. I could be mistaken about the Checketts' hinting, but just imagine if CP got a TA2K with several of those vertical ascent/descent hills, some awesome banked turns, and a helix or two.

The TA2K that is being built in Japan has a nice layout itself. It's much more longer then the one at PKD and in Logan.

I would be VERY surprised if Cedar Point builds two coasters!! I am not entirely convinced they care that much about the coaster count...or as much as we care about it. While it is a great marketing concept/ bragging rights, I think the Point can built one coaster (hopefully the TA2K), maintain the ROI philosophy, maintain the great idea of "service, pride, cleanliness, courtesy" and still be the number one park on the planet. I have only been to a handful of parks, but with the ones that I have been to, no one can even play in the same league as the Point..let alone challenge them as "Best Amusement Park". So, I don't think they really care about coaster record...but I could be wrong...

Yes..there is a website out there that has some very interesting, alternative TA2K layouts. I think Logan's got the right idea with regards to the banked turns, and helixes. I would have to assume that IF Cedar Point were to get a TA2K, it would be a fantastic design, with many interesting elements...:)

QUESTION: Remember when someone from CP said "remember how we followed up Magnum?" hinting as to what we would get in 2001? Well they inclosed DT in 1990 and I dont believe they did anything like that this year so what were they talkin about??? Also didnt they mention "filler rides"???
How about this? Let's just wait until Cedar Point decides to tell us what they are doing next year, and then talk about it!

Well back to the whole point that TA2K are too short well since CP makes ALL of their rides so massive (EX) MF,RAPTOR,Mantis,... well all that they have to do is just make it big and stuff. I think that they should build one that is around a mile or so it could happen.
