PKI to get TA2K IN 2002? Change CP Plans?

Because it's the very same practive Cedar Point has implemented for the last 7-8 years, and it seems to be working for them.

Most people would think that CP is just about quanity, but it just that they have PERFECTLY ordered there debuts of thier roller coaster, so that they can have the most, and also the best, thats one of the main thingd why I love CP

Olympic10086 hit the nail on the head. Whatever CP has planned will probably shoot by what we think is a good idea now. Let's face it, would you expect anything else from a park where 70% of it's attendance is from repeat guests?

Hymmm... That's a very interesting date for PKI. But they won't be alone. Another VERY major park will make their announcement around that same time. This is one on the West coast and both will be HUGE(and no, it's not SFMM).

Hate to spoil this, but the S&S trip was for an attraction going in this year over by ripcord. It is going to be 300 feet of terror. Mark my words. You will see.

It seem's to me CP needs another family coaster of the hanging kind? I'm sure there's from some where in Camp Snoopy to build a red baron suspended coaster! (Seems they already have a red baron ride but you can go with 2).

I hope CP doesn't get one of these things! Other than that steep, narrow hill what else could make a TA2K thrilling? Nothing! I don't think CP will get a TA2K simply because it doesn't seem like the type of thing that they would want in the park. Cedar Point has a very, and I do mean very, picky taste in what types of rides they want in the park. I can't pin-point what it is in CP's coaster tastes, but a TA2K is definitely not something I can see them doing. I am hoping on a good CCI woodie next year.

What else makes the TA2K thrilling? How about being shot out from 0-100 mph?? (or whatever speed they make it). But I do have to agree on the CCI...after riding shivering timbers..this is the way to go! We need another good wooden coaster. One that wont fall apart.

No..No..No! Mean Streak is great the way it is...sure the trims could go, but then we would love that "danger" feeling the we all...or at least..that I love...if you don't like the ride...stay off of it...more time for me to ride ;)

I agree with Vince that a TA2K just doesnt seem like something CP would add, I think it might just be too short, but I just cant see one at CP. I would like a CCI, their coasters top my list.

Disneypoint- You just helped me realize CP's tastes in coasters. It goes something like this: Basically if CP is going to build it, they are going to over do it. TA2K is just too short of a ride.

I don't think length should be that big of a factor. Most people that have ridden Hypersonic love it even though it is short. Coasters don't have to be long to be good. Especially coasters where most of the experience revolves around the first seconds of the ride, like the TA2K.
