Am I wrong about the location of the overflow lot? Are we talking about the lot next to Millennium? If that's the case, then it's about a 1/2 mile walk to Bay Harbor, which I don't frequent, but still seems crazy.
Nope. Not even half that (click image to embiggen).
I hate going downtown for that and many other reasons.
I don't necessarily go out of my way to seek them out, but when traveling for work I try to stay in downtown areas specifically for the food. That almost always means walking, but that sure as hell beats driving to chain joints.

I'm kind of confused about what parking lots you are talking about because I don't eat at any of the restaurants or have a boat, so I've never been in those lots.
Does this change affect the pet drop off lot at all? There used to be a booth there where the worker would let your car in the lot to drop your dog off. Is that booth gone in place of a gate too? My dogs will be going to CP more than they used to this year, and I don't like walking them a long way on hot pavement.
They could easily address that by having you pay for pet check at the toll booths and give you a key card to get in the lot to the pet check area.

I wish there was a pet chek season pass I could get. I'm sure there's like zero demand for such a thing beyond myself lol

Coco, you do not need to enter the marina lot to get to pet check. Just go into the south basin lot (other side of the road from the main lot) and drive west all the way to the end past the boat maintenance building. There are some parking spaces right by the pet check.
I'd rather be in my boat with a drink on the rocks,
than in the drink with a boat on the rocks.

Ah, my bad - you went from saying the walk to FD's was a half mile to saying the same of the walk to Bay Harbor. I didn't catch that, but to be fair, it was a pretty confusing shift in your argument.

To eat at Famous Dave's, you will have to park at the Marina Overflow Lot? That's crazy! Hopefully that doesn't hurt business. By "Marina Overflow Lot" I assume you are talking about the West side of perimeter road. That's almost half a mile away...

Measuring using Google Maps, it comes out to around 1,300 feet, including walking from among the furthest parking spots to the other side of the FD building where the entrance is. That's less than a quarter mile, or around a 5 minute walk.

But while on the topic of not reading before criticizing... ;-)
DSShives pointed out that Bay Harbor guests simply pay $20 to access the main Marina lot, and that fee will be deducted from your bill. So no one should be parking at the Marina Overflow lot to eat at Bay Harbor, hence no half mile walk.

Is that a lot that I would be able to stay parked in all day also? Not that it really matters because I'm used to dropping them off and parking elsewhere, but that would be convenient.
You probably can. I'm not sure if the spaces right in front of the pet check are marked for only limited use, but you can probably find a spot if you drive past the boat maintenance building into the main part of the lot.

So it's getting pretty close right to pick out day, April 10th. Wonder what time of day they will become available to pick?

I’m signing up me and all my friends since I work nights. One of my friends renewed his pass about a month ago but lost his physical pass so all he has is the email with the order number. Will he be able to sign up?

I guess you only have to enter one pass holder number to get multiple tickets? As long as you bring the passes for all with you to the event?
