The choice is yours, you get to pick.....
Monday 04/30
Tuesday 05/01
Wednesday 05/02
It will be a Frontiertown Hootenanny.
1 ride per person on the record breaking Steel Vengeance.
Nice!!!!
One ride per person is certainly an interesting approach. I'm guessing it's intended to avoid the packing issues that Valravn had on OSU/Passholder day. Considering the level of interest among enthusiasts (many of whom are passholders) for SV, this could be a wise move.
Is that one ride per person per day, or one ride per person for the entire 3-day event?
You can only go one day out of those 3, you can't go multiple days.

I'm guessing they'll be two lines possibly for Steel Vengeance. Ones with passes get priority, but if needing to fill the other line gets moved.
Tho it also depends on the amount of tickets they plan to sell per day.
Is there a link. How does this thing exactly work?

Interesting note, it’s FREE!
I have a feeling there will be a tweak to FastLane restricting number of rides on Steel Vengeance.
ROUNDABOUND.
Well of course I will be going for this, see if I can get April 30 so I can say I went there at April. Who knows what weather will be like but will to far away to know, got to hope for the best.

Can't wait, sounds like they have a great hootenanny planned. Steel Vengeance, Maverick, Cedar Creek Mine Ride, Skyhawk, Antique Cars, & Wave Swinger.

No - it is pretty clear you get one ride.
PLEASE make sure you read the info in the provided link so we don't get any b***hing later!
Tickets are required and are available starting April 10th! You get a voucher for 1 ride on Steel Vengeance. Limited tickets are available for each of the 3 dates. You can only go ONCE! (I'm sure there'll be shady people trying to sell their vouchers...sigh...)
Maverick, Mine Ride, SkyHawk, Wave Swinger and Antique Cars will also be open. So plenty to do as long as the weather is nice.
They will also be providing FREE food and drinks. Sounds like they'll be sampling some of the new items in Frontier Town.
This is the type of event I've been dying to see for passholders. It sounds like they really thought this one out from the previous years pass preview nights that ended up being packed. Hopefully it goes smoothly and we start seeing this kind of passholder preview every season. Definitely gonna try to hit this up.
My main concern about this is the weather and how many tickets will be avaliable. If the day you scheduled gets rained out I hope they will allow you to come back another day. Also, with them only allowing you to ride it once it makes me wonder how many tickets will be avaliable. I don't want there to be so few that you can't get one, but I hope they don't give out so many that you will have to stand in a 30-40 minute line to ride SV and a really long line for Maverick or food. When they announced CP Shores, they did an event where you could go up to Soak City for ERT and get a great deal on 2017 passes. They obviously let too many people in as the line to renew your pass got up to an hour! I certainly hope that the weather will be great for all three days and the crowds won't be bad.
To anyone that would know, I already paid off my platinum pass renewal, just want to confirm what I think that I should not have to go to any season pass center, it should be ready to go when I arrive.

It specifically states that availability of attractions, etc is weather dependent. If one of the days is a wash out, my guess is you will not be permitted to attend another day. Just like a regular operating day.
I would expect the food lines to be long. And the Maverick line. And 30 minutes for a preview on Steel Vengeance seems pretty darn good.
Remember. This event is free.
I think the park did a nice job responding to the issues of trying to combine passholder preview night and OSU day.
Now a question I have (and Ill reach out to the park for an answer) is that tickets for the preview nights open up on April 10th. Cedar Point dockholders will not receive our 2018 marina season passes (we get a new season pass every year) until around April 17th. So even though we have a dock, we will not have a season pass until around a week after tickets open up. Without a valid season pass, we cant get tickets to preview night. Im sure the preview night tickets will go long before we have an opportunity to get one.

As long as you still have your card from last year there is nothing else you need to do. Even if it says you need a new pic this is not the case (unless directed to get a new pic when they scan it).
If you use the app and your pass info is still saved in there you should also be fine.
Also, your pass was valid for 2018 as soon as you renew it. Regardless if you chose to pay it off in one lump sum payment or choose the payment plan. So, for example if you were in LA and wanted to go to Knott's in January your pass would have worked with no issues.

Please reply here as I am in the boat (pun very much intended).
In a way I can understand the Marina's position of not issuing the passes until 4/17 or thereabouts. Dockage needs to be paid in full by the 4/15 so until that is paid you don't really have a pass. Now if they could release the information once you are paid in full that would be a good compromise in my opinion.

Thank you Cedar Point!
Well that's new. And yeah, I agree that even if the line is an hour long, that's pretty darn good for one of the most anticipated rides I can recall.

As far as the marina platinum passes go, I don't think they can do anything until we get our passes from the marina office. It is just like someone renewing or purchasing on 4/17, I'm expecting all the passholder preview tickets to be long gone by then. I just look at it as the cost of getting two free platinum passes every year.
