Passholder Appreciation Day

The actually turned the trims off for like the last 5 trains that went.

Yesterday was excellent. Small crowd, got in lot of rides. We missed the ERT, However, we rode three coasters in the first 20 minutes we were there, part of that time was walking between coasters. Dragster, twice in 15 minutes. WT was a literal walk on as was BS. The longest line was 45 minutes for Maverick. Maxair was a walk on for us, all flats maybe a one cycle wait or walk on depending when you got to the queue. Nice weather just a great time. Scavenger hunt was fun. Lots of Halloweekend stuff in place including old ride graveyard, Fear Faire, some Carn Evil, Terror Island sign and bridges.

The weather yesterday turned out great. It would have been the perfect day for riding. Though I was working on the scavenger hunt. I got everything... sorta. I'm 100% on all of them except the picture of Mantis and Iron Dragon. I figures out the general area where the picture had to be taken from, I just couldn't figure out what the picture was reflected off of. Now that the contest is over, anyone want to make their guess before the anises are announced? :)

I put down it was reflected off of the steel Millenium Force sign.

Based on the angle of the sign, if it were reflected off of the MF sign, it wouldn't have been a reversed image. Plus I don't think you could get it all reflected off of the sign without sitting in the mulch behind the bushes.

I stated mine this way:

"It's a reflected image looking back at Mantis, Iron Dragon and the Train Crossing. It was taken near the Millennium Force Entrance and Sign."

It is the Millennium Force sign. Tony confirmed it at the end of the night.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

Where was the Cedar Point sign, the first item? I never did find that one.

Gumball machine outside Pagoda gift shop. :)

I would have never found it. Thanks.

Where was the metal looking grate at?

Wow. I was at the MF sign and entrance area for nearly an hour trying to figure out how the photo was taken. I just don't understand how it could be reflected off of the MF sign to get a blurry photo. And second, the MF sign isn't perpendicular to the line of sight of the image (which would be required to get a reversed photo. We are talking about the Giant MF sign right? Not a smaller sign sitting on the ground?

Pretty good, Jason!

#7 was the physical Millennium Force sign. I took two photos, but the photo I didn't use was too obvious. There are no tricks to that photo either. I held the camera right up to the sign, so it's not actually blurry - it's just the aluminum material ON the sign.

Interestingly enough, #10 is the ONLY "shark" mole in any whack-a-mole game at the park. You learn something new every day!

Good luck to all who entered. I'll be going through all of them today and will announce a winner before 5 p.m.

And a very special thanks to all of you who joined us yesterday. We had a great time with all of you and we hope you had a great time as well! Next year, anyone???

Now come to HalloWeekends!

Actually I wouldn't be surprised if he disqualifies all the answers that say, "gumball machine" since I believe it's a rubber ball machine.

To my knowledge they don't sell gum in the park.

I also wanted to thank Tony for having the Maggie ERT!

Great times, Tony.

Ride on, MrScott!

Yeah, let's just say thank goodness for friends! That pirate whack-a-mole pic was driving us NUTS... had no idea.... Had most of the others guessed pretty much... not sure about the blurry one...hope they are generous in interpretation LOL. Had a fun day... Taught the little one to say RIDE ON! (she's 3... and loves the jr. gemininini... yes, she says it like that LOL) She got her pic with Tony on our way out past Magnum ERT... and told him Ride On! too...it was cute. Weather was beautiful, most everything was walk on, except for the Giant Wheel- go figure! Can't wait to go back for halloweekends next weekend...

Just because they don't sell gum doesn't mean it isn't a gum ball machine.

When it doesn't have gum inside it, it's now not a gumball machine.

Seems like a pretty simple concept to me.

I doubt they'd be so anal in their judgment.

Wow, Thanks for clarifying Tony. I tried every thing to replicate that picture but just couldn't figure it out.

I'd be curious to know how many people Really knew, and how many were just guessing that it was a reflection off of the sign.

It just didn't seem like the angle was right to be looking at those rides. :) Oh well, maybe next time.
