Passholder Appreciation Day

bholcomb's avatar

Josh I will call you in the morning, that is if we don't already meet at Magnum.

And we will hang. And ride some stuff. And make fun of people. And throw around questionable jokes.

Go ahead and call me, I won't answer because I have a new number. Anyone who wants it, PM me pls.

Head's up - the Scavenger Hunt Map is now online and available for download and print.

Remember, you have to physically hand this in on Sunday, Sept. 7. Any entries dropped off prior to that day will not be accepted. Oh, and please don't share answers here.

Good luck!

I haven't seen this posted anywhere, so I'll ask here. Since the extra hour of ERT in the morning is at Raptor, will all of the gates (Marina, Magnum) be open that early, or will we need to use the main entrance on Sunday?

I'm guessing just the main entrance will be open just like last years ert on Raptor.

Looks like Sunday's out for me. I'm going to be bogged down with crap all weekend. :(

My author website: mgrantroberts.com.

What are the passholder ERT's like? Are the lines short because it's just passholders are the lines longer because there is only 1 ride open to all who are able to enter?

Jason Hammond's avatar

Well, in theory it could be longer than the average ert line because of how many people it's open to. On the other hand school has started and it's short notice for those that are even aware of it. I realize a card came in the mail, but it was pretty small and could have been easily discarded with the junk mail.

I'll be sticking with the main entrance. It's been a long time since I've passed through those gates. At some point throughout the day I'll move my car back to the Soak City lot to make it easier to leave after Magnum in the PM ERT.

We'll miss you MrScott and Pete

I think it is Junk Mail because I have a P. Pass, and I didn't recieve a Card in the mail. My mom did and she also has a P. Pass. Do you know if this is just for Season Passholders in the Park. Can the Public with Tickets come in on Sept 7th too. My mom says the POINT will be so Damn Busy.

Mark Small's avatar

I doubt the park will be that busy.

The park is open to all ticket holders, but only the extra ERT sessions are available to Passholders and Platinum Passholders.

I think that the park will be really busy tomorrow since it was closed friday and saturday.

Tony - Thanks for the notice both here and while we were waiting in line during the last Maverick ERT night!

I'll be there but since I won't be out of church until 10:30 or so I'll miss the Raptor ERT! No problem! I'm sure it's going to be a great day! Hope to see everyone and good luck on the scavenger hunt!

Jason

Why do they call it common sense, when it's so infrequently used?

I'm at the park. It's not that crouded right now. This scavenger hunt is hard.

Yeah, it was a blast. It's a good thing we're all observant and WTG Adam on that water wheel! Good eye, broheem. :-D

Rickrolling the Magnum station was the best idea I think I've ever had, at least the best one of today.

Bryan's still a chicken and won't get on the skyscraper, but it's OK cause he went to my car and got us candy and beverages.

As usual, Tony took care of us cause he's pretty gosh darned awesome.

Made some new friends, and saw a lot of old ones today. Good times.

It was a good time. Good weather. Light crowds. Short lines at the end of the day. Nice to see familiar faces. Tony rocks! The Nights of Darkness show preview was good. I missed the Chris Linn show.

"Rickrolling the Magnum station" I'm glad I missed that :) I rode Magnum ERT 6 times M but could have been 7 or 8 since we got an extra ride in on TTD right before closing. ERT ended prior to 9:15 pm but not by much and no one had a problem with that. Two train operation. Trim brakes on. It was a good ERT. I told a few people about my Magnum experience of the year: A couple months ago we were on Magnum at the end of the night. A moron threw a plastic Maverick souvenir cup at our train from under the on ride camera. We got splashed with Pepsi but no one got hit. The cup was in the on ride photo in the front row with a couple scared riders.

The bridges across to MF Island look solid. Tony declared HalloWeekends officially on!
