Paint Job Information!

The blue of the supports almost looks to be the same as the color of S:UF at SFoG. I like it though. Also noticed that the loop sticks out much more than i noticed before. I don't remember opening year for the ride, but I can never remember it's colors being so vibrant.

OK, this has nothing to do with the previous 2 or so pages of this thread but how exactly do you go about painting a coaster? stick some 30 or so guys on it with spray paint cans and have then run the course of the ride 2 or 3 times? Just kidding about that. But seriously, it would be scary as hell to be in a little bucket thingy hanging from a crane like 200 feet in the air with a paintbrush or roller in hand and then leaning out to actually paint the ride.

The 2nd half of Mantis is already repainted; I saw it today with my own eyes when I was in the park today. It looks pretty sweet.

Way, way, way back in this thread it was mentioned that Magnum was to be repainted. Did/will that ever take place?

Oh, just backed up and saw on page 3 someone said it was not to be painted. As I was. Pretty sad I was taken by an April fools post 9 months after April fools day.

from what i heard wildcat was the one getting painted green and purple cause it would look gay on magnum

Magnum was recently painted. Does it need it that bad again?

Magnum was recently painted? As far as I know it's never recieved a paint job. It looks pretty shady if you ask me. It could use some good lovin from Sherwin Williams.

Pics? Anyone? Or what color is Mantis being painted?

There was a pic of the new Wildcat paint job somewhere, but I'm too lazy to find the link. Let's just say I'll wait to see it in person before I judge the new color scheme. Mantis will have fresh paint this season, but with the same colors. When Magnum does get painted, the colors will not be changing. Why can't anyone understand that was just an Apil Fool's Day joke, just like the Magnum is sinking rumour?

I've heard that Mantis is getting a paint job for a few years now... Wildcat needed a paint job. It was starting to rust pretty badly. Rust protects thicker steel, but it sure is ugly. Mantis isn't rusting very badly, it's mostly just faded.

On the other hand, Millennium Force is fading fast. I wondered why they put such light colored patch paint on it, but I guess the original paint will catch up to it someday.
