Paint Job Information!

Just received info that the Mantis Paint Job will develop this year as planned and will spruce up her current color to its existing Colors.

Big information received though is that Magnum WILL indeed receive its long awaited painting next year but heres the twist! With 2003's season she will have a fresh coat of Green and Purple!!!! Yes thats right our beloved Maggy will have green track and purple supports next year peeps! They had planned this for 99 but with Millennium Forces impending debut for 2000 CP did not want to steal any of that thunder.

I will truly miss her orange/red colors but alas all things must change!

Agreed... I think it will make the ride almost seem "new" again. Sucks we have to wait an entire year to see it though!

I'm excited about the news (which I also just learned about via e-mail this morning). At least we won't have to disagree on Magnum's color anymore!

To help verify the news on Mantis, I was at the park on Friday visiting friends and saw the paint crews were ready to roll.

Well at least there wont be anymore discussions or arguments on her color. This new color sceme sounds great.

But i'm not sure if I smell paint fumes, or an april fools day joke here.

I'm a little weary of reciving any really strange information on April 1st. I am betting Magnum is getting painted next season. I'll wait for further notice of the Green and Purple color Scheme untill well after a day of practical jokes in which CP is unwillingly or willingly notorious for.... ;)

.. actually.. I heard some very similar news the other day. I heard the colors just not a year. But assumed it woudl be 2003 like everyone said before.

I also heard along with the paint they were going to extend Magnum about 1000 feet and add some more airtime camel backs!! Pretty cool, can't wait until 2003!!!

That better not be true about Magnum. I would be very, very mad. I think it may look "cool" but it would destroy the classic look.

If you think the paint scheme doesn't look cool, you need to check out the new Goliath at Six Flags Holland. Same colors, I just hope they get very similar hues to match. I mean, if it was a light purple that would so not be cool.

Bah people argue too much about Magnum's colors. At least now it will end the debate.

Purple is my favorite color, maybe I won't hate Magnum anymore!

I dont believe Magnum's green and purple paint change one bit. The fact that no one had confirmed that this indeed is an April Fools joke is a little unsettling though. (yes, I believe Mantis will get a paint job)

I actually had a disturbing dream about a week ago that Magnum was exactly those colors. I was very upset by it too...So I went and rode Raptor, but my restraint wouldn't lock down and then my train went too slow into the cobra roll and rolled back and fell off the track completely. I was mad.

But anyways, green and purple...hmmm...that would really be strange. Personally, I think a black spine w/ silver ties would look really cool for Magnum.
