I understand Will's hesitation to report something that could change a guy's whole employment situation and summer. Sometimes you just want a little hammer...
I usually don't like to report situations like that, just because when I'm at a park I'm there for fun. As in maximum fun, minimum displeasure. Reporting line-jumpers has the satisfaction of seeing a rule-breaker get their come-uppance, but comes at the cost of having to speak out and the itinerant nervousness and hesitation that accompanies, not to mention all the glares from the jumper(s) and the looks from the crowd like you're some kind of narc. (Excuse the run-on sentence.)
It's just not worth it to me. I just chalk it up to human beings behaving like assholes. Just like yellow jackets buzzing around the concession stands or not having enough shade in the queues, it's just an expected cost of doing the thing I love most. Of course it makes me mad, but so do lots of things.

I had somelady linejump infront of us on TTD, cause she went to the bathroom while her 2 kids got in line, but she asked us before she did and we said it was cool and she said she wasn't going on the ride anyways (and she walked through-and didn't ride like she said)>
I never really care if it's a reason for going to the bathroom or something, or if you've already been in line-then leave to go to the bathroom, then come back.

Actually, the one time my wife and I did report a line jumper, the CP employee did nothing, had a deer-in-headlights look on his face, but the people around us thanks us for saying something. I could not care less what look some waste-of-sperm line jumper gives me.
People...this is an employee we're talking about. An employee on MF none the less, which, IMO, should be the "cream of the crop" of all employees at CP. This isnt some teenager or jerk jumping in front of you, it is an employee.

Ensign Smith, I could not agree more. This WOULD be the hammer. Having a job is a privalege. I would think working MF is also a privalege as far as working rides at CP.
So, lets say you dont can him, you just make him clean toilets the rest of the year.
Sorry, but what a jerk. I cant really say much else about what he did. Sorry for your experience Will. If I were in your shoes, I would say something, and I still wish you would, but if you dont...well...i hope it happens to me next time so I can yank him out of the train by his hair.

Promoter of fog.
For those in support of the employee's line jumping as its ok, he's an employee- go join your corrupted friends in DC, its ok- they're legislators.
To the one who was affected by this idiot- Have you ever seen a cop pulling 120MPH and just wanted the chance to pull that @$$hole over? Well here at it. This is your chance. You are not getting the employee fired. All you are doing is voicing your complaint to Cedar Point. They can take care of it how they want to. Likely this isnt the only time and if it happened 1000 times for the rest of the summer, thats over 1000 customers that are not as happy as they could be, because of this kid. Their wish truly is to keep their guests happy and having fun!
REPORT THE BASTARD!

Rep points to you!
Calling someone a waste of sperm just because they cut you in line is a little harsh, no? Taking this whole rollercoaster riding thing a little too seriously, are we?
Granted, some of the people that line jump are wastes of sperm, but not because they are line jumpers.
Dear MichiganStateFan:
Line jumping is uncalled for and is not tolerated whether you are an employee or guest.
Just because he is an employee of the park doesn't give him anymore right to ride than you or I. As a matter of fact, considering that he is an employee that just happens to work on the exact ride he line jumped... is just plain stupid. He gets to ride every single morning when they test it out. That's all the more reason he shouldn't jump the line. If anything, he should give his spot up to someone if you ask me.
As an ex-Park Op Manager, it's just not tolerated and is just stupid. Cedar Point is very strict with their seasonal workers and will not hesitate to terminate someone because they broke the rules.
A rule is a rule... and that is how management looks at it.
I am dissapointed that more people do not speak up about line jumping. If anybody line jumps it has more of an affect than you having to wait a few extra minutes in line. If you do not try to stop somebody from line jumping you are giving tacit approval for them to line jump again. Nobody likes to wait in line but if more people want to ride than the capacity of the ride lines are a neccesity. If fans of the park allow certain punks to cut in line without notice pretty soon there may as well not be a line. My wife had a nasty encounter with a brazened linejumper at another park and she will not go back to that park again if nobody speaks up at Cedar Point certain individuals will take advantage of the situation and abuse the rules without any respect for anybody.

But, you're not getting him fired. He is getting himself fired.

Drunkin - Did the lady ask everyone behind you if it was ok? She wasn't just cutting in front of you, but the whole line behind that. I'll agree its not a bad thing (she wanted to wait with her kids and wasn't going to ride) but its not up to you to "yea or nay" for the entire line.
I'll agree to that DJ. His actions got him fired, not the guest reporting it.

AMEN Daemon, Employees should know that they are in control of where they go in there job/career. If you are not a good employee than you should expect to get canned. If you are great employee than you should expect to get a raise/promoted.
I would have reported him, and I would not have waited to get home to do so, I would have spoke up there in the station.
My wife and I send a lot of emails to the park and most of the them are good. But, sometimes we tell them when something about our visit bothered us. Companies in general love to hear about that kind of stuff, because they can fix it if they know about it. For every customer that tells a super about a problem they had in the park, there are 12 more customers that had a problem that did not speak up about it, and management will never know about the problem unless they personally wittnessed (SP?). Sorry about the long post.
Mikey

Or sign up with the nearest union ASAP.

Your right jugga, I know that there will be some grief on here about this, but unions suck. they keep the bad employees with a job, so all of the co-workers and management team has to put up with them.
If a union is needed than I can see having one. But there are alot of companies that treat there employees just fine without one. My employers treat me with respect and we do not need a union.

Always nice to see inaccurate stereotypes!
In college I worked in food service, for which the non-student workers were all union. I remember one of the workers, in no uncertain terms and very clearly, say "I Quit" and leave not halfway through his shift. He did this numerous times and always the next day he had a job.
I won't say that this is the way all unions operate, nor is it the idyllic view of a union. However, more and more it seems the unions protect the jobs un-productive workers.
Goodbye MrScott
John
I'd agree, John, and I come from a true-blue (collar) union family. Unions have changed, likely because people have started to realize the protection they get under them, and they're now abusing that protection. Such cases were certainly not as frequent (as far as I know) in the past.
Of course, this is not to say that there aren't still many unions whose members are very, very deserving of any and all protections they receive. Laborers and carpenters come to mind first and foremost.
