Odd pointers to more than L-TH-BR?

ok here is my two cents. I worked at cp in the 2002 season and you don't know how much they put into keeping their image. lets look at a few details. with all new rides they are sticklers for rules. They are a very clean park very clean compared to most parks out there. lets look at the few most recent coasters and magnum. First magnum: first hyper coaster(coaster to go over 200ft) first coaster to break 70mph then we have mean streak first wooden to break 160ft first wooden to break 60 then we go to raptor first inverted to break 130ft and I am not sure on the speed but it broke that also. first inverted cobra roll(I believe the first cobra roll all together) then 1996 mantis the tallest fastest standup coaster. 1998 the tallest fastest freefall ride(power tower). 2000 the Millennium force broke ten records(I wont mention all 10) but mainly tallest and fastest. 2002 wt the tallest fastest launched ushaped ride also has two spiral towers. now with all their coasters they have gone for records and also for the image their coasters are known as world class coasters the new coaster "terra coaster" "dragster" or whatever you want to call it but since only about 75 people know exactly and they had to sign confidentiality papers I dont think they will leak. (link) It will be a world class coaster also breaking records just like its predicesors. cp would not do something that great and then bring it to a hault with breaks right after the tophat. Going at 60mph in the last leg of mf the breaks are pretty long but thinkabout it going at 100+mph would need about twice the length. Well I might be shut down right here if you look at this page http://www.virtualmidway.com/mystery/default_p091402.asp and look at the second row the second third fourth and fifth pictures in this row their might be twice the length of brakes as mf but then again xcellerator has about that much but it is only goin about 70 when it hits the brakes maybe less so I guess it could go either way but judging from how much land they have cleared out I dont think the breaks are gonn come right after the TH it just does not make any sense. anyway no matter what happens I will still ride it. and that is not just because I am gonna work their next summer also. well hope that this has been interesting and entertaining 400ft drop is cool no matter how fast you stop anyway talk to you all later bye:-)

I think Barry is right on target with his ideas about the u-turn pieces. He's right. There is no way it can cover that gap which is well over a hundred feet by my estimations. Even with the other curving flat pieces I can't see how to make them stretch that far. If anyone else can figure a way, sketch it out. I would be interested in seeing it.
I think the U-turn pieces are for transfer track inside the station.
how would a u-turn piece work for transfer track? i have never seen any transfer track with a u connector. plus in that u-shaped piece, there is a place for a wheel driven motor to propel the train along. usually (and correct me if im wrong) transfer track doesnt have this element to it.

and raptor, intamin, or any other company for that matter, has never made a coaster that will go this fast so there are no rules for designing this ride

I am still with you on this one Barry.
I have been sitting back and reading these posts and watching all the pictures since the end of August. I thought I would chime in a give my idea on the layout of this thing. I have a feeling that this monster will have a layout similar to Hypersonic at Kings Dominion. Essentially a elongated oval.
Basically, super fast launch, up huge tophat, down the other side, sraightaway, then one or two elongated bunny hops as you fly by station (i.e. like MF's for instance) to keep neg. G's minimized, then maybe a overbanked turn (not too sure about this though) towards the station and into the brakes. I would not for one complain about anything like this. No matter how much track there will be, THIS WILL BE A VERY SHORT RIDE! But it will be one hell of a short ride indeed.
Please, NOOOOO!!!!!!!! Anything but more trims at that park!!!!!!!!
Hey barry the reason there are so many peices of track with brakes is becasue they need to use those after the train goes by on the launch. As a just in case safety thing. But yes i do agree with everything you were saying about CP's history with rides.
