no Thrust-Air!!!!

The quote was after he rode Ghostrider at Knott's Berry Farm. He said something along the lines of, "Every park should have one of these." You can look over at CCI's official website for the actual quote.
"3. From what I have learned over the last few years, wooden coasters take a bit longer to build then steal"

Are you sure? It would take an really long time to take it out of the footers and get it apart!

A bad day at CP is better than a good day at work.
I haven't been to CP Place in a while and it's nice to be back at a top quality site. I would like to see CP build a higher and longer version of the B+M launched Incredible Hulk, only with floorless trains. I spent my whole day at IOA last month saying, "CP needs one of these!"
YES!!!! JasB67!!! you read my mind!!!!
My wish list includes:

a launched B&M floorless (like the Hulk)
and a CCI (or GCI)
And watch... after all this talk the big announcement will come from CP and it will start out something like:
"Cedar Point Announces its plans for 2002. The world's largest, fastest Scrambler!"

Wouldn't that just be too ironic?

Hahahhahaha lol.... Hey with some more bad luck it could be the worlds best picnic area
Maybe the "REVENGE" point that Dan was talking about is part of the rides name....

mikey
Yeah, and I wouldn't mind Mean Streak's Revenge, or something like that either...:)

You know as much as I want a TA2K....I just got back from riding shivering timbers about 10 times yesterday (first time i ever rode it) and I cant tell you how much freakin fun that coaster is!! The airtime is unreal!! Maybe I wouldnt mind CP getting a CCI, but I dont think that will happen. For all of you that have a season pass to CP...I urge you (urge? lol) you to take your pass and go ride Shivering Timbers at Cedar Fairs new project..Michigans Adventure!! This ride is the airtime GOD!
Already have both woooden coaster types. They have an out and back and a large (overbraked) twister. Here are some of the woodie coasters they don't have:

1)Huge out n' back (Shivering Timbers)
2)Wood side-friction (leap-the-dips)
3)CCI!
4)Scenic Railway
5)Mega Scenic Railway (Beast)
6)Wood Hyper
7)Wood Looper
8)Out n' Back/Twister hybryd (Lakeside Cyclone)
9)Old Fashioned Twister (CP Cyclone)
10)Junior Wood (Beastie, Scooby Doo)
11)Double out n'back (comet)
12)Large Out' n' Back Racer (American Eagle)
13)Virginia Reel
14)Wood Wild Mouse
15)Jazz Railway type

Pesonally I think the park should have CCI build woodies. And have CCI rework Mean Streak.
1) CP Cyclone recreation
2) Mega Out n' back wood

I would love to see a TA2K, but I just got back from riding Villain at SFWoA... CCI is pure goodness, airtime galore, super-smooth... ahhh I'm torn between TA2K and CCI...

Steuks!!
the tides are turning!

Hey SquishyPants, it happened in '98 when they announced the Power Tower! Remember the coaster they were supposed to get that year?
If you are torn, Majin, go with the TA2K...:)

mikey
Hey CPCyclone... I'll be honest and say I have no clue what you're talking about... :(

I have yet to ride a TA2K. Are they even CP worthy?

-------------
Gemini 100: 100
I definately know one coaster that is CP worthy...

the HULK at Universal. Ever since I've been on that thing, I've said how CP worthy that thing is.
Hulk is pretty cool, I might add a higher lift hill, though- the time you spend shooting up the lift doesn't seem long enough. That type of coaster is definitely CP worthy.

Hulk requires an ungodly amount of juice to launch those trains. Universal had to build a mini-power plant for that ride so that Orlando wasn't drained of electricity every time a train went up the hill. Although not possible, I'd say Dueling Dragons is more CP worthy, but there is no way on God's green earth CP could support that big of a queue (I wonder how many times Universal kicks themselves for building such an enormous queue thats practically empty half the time.)

I stay crunchy...even in milk!
A queue that takes you about 15 minutes (or more) just to walk through. But Dueling Dragons is not something that Cedar Point would build, think of the footprint...Also, who is ranked higher in the Amusement Today steel coaster rankings- Dueling Dragons or Raptor? Raptor

ahh to heck with the thrust air and cci... I d like to see something brand new at cedar point. A first of it's kind coaster.....
