No 2005 Coaster?

I think I'm gonna be the only person that wants this, but I think that if CP got a flying coaster. Not a B&M, one that is just like X-Flight just longer, and that goes over the water would be cool. A floorless wouldn't be good for CP because they have Raptor and Mantis. If they get a floorless, it'll just be another raptor except you sit ontop of the track not under it. I personally don't like flat rides so if CP got a flat ride I wouldn't ride it, but i'm sure tons of people would.

It was 4 years between Mantis and MF. 2 years after Mantis was built CP built power tower, and everytime i go there is a huge line for it. I have never ridin PT but i'm sure it's a good ride. *** Edited 7/14/2004 3:38:29 AM UTC by raptorman95***

Raptor Rides-363

i am just going to through this into the mix. But if CP was to get rid of WWL and build a flyer i would love to see it go out over perimater road and a bit over Lake Erie and then come back in. I think that would be funny to see when driving into soak city lot and fun to be a rider.

2005- Sky Ride
2006- Sky Ride
Happy not to be working at the Point any longer

I would die if they took out WWL, it is one of my favorite rides, right there next to Magnum and Millenium. You people underestimate this ride, i love the view and the feeling at the top, this is a must ride whenever I go to the point.

I would love to see o floorless in that area, the station could be where the swan boats were and he hill can go from there and creep in between WWL and MS the drop can go right down near the lake and the rest of the ride can be carried out behind MS, then come back and do a few corkscews over the swan boat lagoon. As long as t breaks the height record for a floorless then it would be awesome, not saying it wouldn be anyway, i think aroud 230ft/ should suffice.

Oh and to those who think the rumors about the pier and the parking lot are fakes you are wrong. Those are actual plans in developement. The pier should come before the parking lot move and it will be behind wicked twisterwhen and if they go through with the plans, this is all stuff actually in the works but we wonk get to see it for years o come.

So, you know for a fact that the pier and parking lot ideas are true? Unless your a top worker or something, then I don't see how'd you know for certain.

He knows FOR CERTAIN that there is going to be a pier and whatever the parking lot thing is, but he doesn't know if they are doing any kind of ceremony for the Breakers 100th year next year. Hmm, smells kinda fishy to me.

Good speculation on my comments JuggaLotus ;). As i was reading your post whe you said "but he doesent know...." I was hoping you were gonna say, "buthe doesent know when they are gonna be put in".

No im not a high up at CP or anything I just know this beleive it or not from a guy named Jeff Harpo At the Atari RCT forums in the Amusement Park Indusrtry Sub Forum. This guy has been to over 140 Parks and Ridden Tons of coasters. He has a friend who works in one of the departments at CP and he also worked there as a weight guesser for a couple years. He said theese topics were actuallly discussed in meetings and are very probable for the future. He is also an engineer. So I trust this guy with information about amusement parks he seems to know what hes talking about.

Oh! Forgot to mention he also has a CP website alot of you have probably heard of it.. Cedar Point Virtual Tour..>

Hey, my friend's sister's cousin's great uncle told my Gramdma's niece's daughter's Aunt's best friend that I work with that they are going to tear the whole parking lot down!

Let's go straight to the Merry-Go-Round!

How did i know someone was gonna say something like this.

Because you know everything!

Let's go straight to the Merry-Go-Round!

I guess I'll believe your friend, NextGen89, that they are probably speculating about having a pier and changing the p-lot, but I just don't see them changing the p-lot in the recent future. It'd be chaotic.

This will most likely be CP's avertised rollercoaster......included with Castaway Bay.........go to cedarpoint.com........its officiaL!

Water Coaster:
Thrill-seekers rejoice! When you think of Cedar Point one thing comes to mind – roller coasters. Well don’t fret, Cedar Point’s Castaway Bay indoor waterpark resort will feature a 520-foot-long MasterBlaster water coaster – a water slide that pushes riders uphill!

Now it's official! The next coaster will be MasterBlaster. But is that considered a coaster, or is it in a seperate category as water coaster? Would this make CP have 17 coasters? I doubt they would count this as a roller coaster, but ya never know.

Yeah its been official for 8 months but the reason for me saying that is.....there will be a coaster for 2005. The MasterBlaster is surely being considered as a rollercoaster by Cedar Point. Sean_S has a good point.....I wonder if it would be counted as the 17th?

But, that will be in the resort. It won't actually be in Cedar Point.
It won't be in 2005, I don't think, it will be this year in November. And the reason I said it's official was because I was being sarcastic. Should've added the sarcasm signs!

Whats the point of building a Floorless or a Flying coaster when they are located 90 miles away (at a park NOW owned by the same company)?

Ever think of that? I know it's a kind of dumb point, but I'm hoping for a new coaster, like one of those 4D or 3D (or whatever) ones, or something Different like that.

What's the point of building an indoor water park when there's one 10 minutes away?

What's the point of building a donut shop when you can get donuts at serveral places in Sandusky?

What's the point of expanding a campground when there are many places to park your RV?

What's the point of keeping Mean Streak and Blue Streak open when there are wooden roller coasters only 90 minutes away?

What's the point of opening Cedar Point at all when there's already an amusement park 90 minutes away?

Well NextGen I'm an engineer too, so that must make me an expert on Cedar Point as well. I didn't work there officially as a weight guesser, but I'd walk with my friends and say things like "Man that fat chick has to weigh at least 300 pounds" It was a guess, so I guess that makes me a weight guesser.
I've seen his website its actually pretty good, but anyone with a computer can make a website. That doesn't make them an expert on anything.
On a final note, unless your friends friend happens to work in the department called Executive Management, he probably doesn't know much about the future things going on. It takes a lot to go from an idea being tossed around the boardroom to being put into action, so just because it was discussed, doesn't mean it will happen.

Goodbye MrScott

Nicely said, Walt. In the city next to where I live they built a Wal-Mart, then across the street a Meijers. The two aren't even an 1/4 mile apart, but both stores have loads of customers.
